Pro Elf Miniatures

Post by PrinceMoranion »

I´m planning to build up a new pro elf team. So I took a closer look on the miniatures.

I like the throwers and catchers very much, but I have a bit of a problem with the lineelfs and the blitzers.

How can you tell them apart? They look qutie similar to me. Is it the masks? Or the way they are standing/running?

Please help me! :)

it is difficult to tell them apart.. if you buy them, use colour base rings then it won't matter which model is which to you or your opponent..

I do think that the masked ones are the blitzers, but I agree with Norse= add base rings to be sure everyone knows what's what.

Or just skip them and go to eBay for some 2E Elf figures, of which the new Pro Elves are just a pale imitation. ;)

Thanks a lot! gken1 ist right! There is a difference between the full masks and "half" masks.

But this is really hard to tell apart. I think i´ll stick to your idea and give them coloured rings.

I don't feel that they fit together at all but I'm kinda picky. Their size and styles are different so any combining of the 2 team looks forced to me.

One of my clubmates is using a mixture of HE, DE and WE models to make his (Pro) Elf team, the fluff being they've all left their "normal" team for one reason or another. He's kept the main body of each model in the same colour, and painted the helmets/pads (as applicable) in the colours of their former team.

I was a little unsure when he first mentioned it, but imo it's turned out better than I thought.

(Oh, and no pics, my camera's knackered atm  ).

yeah i have just about 2 teams of every edition of elf. only ones you could mix with the Pro elf are the two 1st ed elfs, but even then they are still a touch too big. To be honest the Pro elf are rubbish - i did buy them to see but the faces are very poor scuplt ihmo.

- id go the ebay route and get 16 2nd ed elves as they really are quality
