Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!

Well, just as scoring in more than 2 turns when receiving first half is a risk, so is allowing your opponent to crush you for 8 turns in the first half, while you try and steal the ball. So, I choose to do it this way, you do it the other way round.
@FischerKing:
That is right, off course, though you really have to be unlucky to receive losses during your first drive. After all, on your drive your opponent must react to your play, whereas on his, he can set up for maximum destruction.
Either way, (and we all have said this before) it is personal taste and nothing else.
Do not underestimate the impact of the extra KO roll on halftime! If I play a bashy team vs a sisy team I will always kick just because of that.
Also I don't agree that that elves are less likely to get hurt on their own drive. I think it's rather the contrary as the opponent doesn't need to worry about holding and protecting the ball and can commit 11 players to destroying the elf team. Also the elves need to protect the ball/scoring opportunities which will result in casualty risks.
What do you think of taking Thrud to block the Minotaur and get him injured. Allso the Bullcentaur. I Know thats not the way to play Highelf.
But what schould i do to this heavy Army of blocking Chaosdwarfs?
Run away, dodge and throwing the ball without a thrower in my team?
Questions, Questions, Questions.
At DB 05 i got my infured HE back after game.
Help me and i hope i win or tied this game without any injured HE.
Well, looks like you pretty well stood your ground. But considering the 1:1 cas, Id assume you had a bit of luck on your side concerning armor/cas rolls?
It was the fifth game of the Player with Chaosdwarfs. He forgot to block my Highelf. So i was lucky to get only one cas and only injured. Next game on the field.
Thanks to all of you
