I'd take the movement. mv 8 will make him even better when he gets guard next...

MickeX wrote:I'd say that having a catcher on pitch makes it easier to bash:

- he creates options that makes it harder for the opponents to concentrate on bashing
- he can dodge away and move 8 to give an assist where you need it the most
- dodge makes up for AV7 as long the opponent hasn't got tackle
Yeah that is true but that is not what Fronko is going for. Go with another blitzer first. As for the one up blitzer that is tough. I think I would go MA too.

I agree that plus one move is the way to go. Consider him able to bash from that much further out. (Catcher chaser)

I'd also buy blitzers first. then the thrower. A catcher is a "luxury" on this team in my opinion and he's more worth the buy if he has developed throwers ready and waiting to throw to him.

I fully agree with Jackal. ESPECIALLY since the style of play you want to run would benefit more from additional wacking power

Yeah, pretty much wat I was thinking.

So be it, MA for the blitzer, 4th blitzer is next purchase and I hope, I wont be up against the orcs next game which might result in further pounding on my side. :-?

OK, the next two games are in and they were not very succesful either.

First game against high elves: lost 4:0.
Second against Chaos: tied 1:1

The first game was just nuffle sucking like an east coast tornado. First turn, first block, first lineman seriously injured. :(

So, with nine humies versus 11 high elves, I was just outrun and even on offense I could not keep the ball carrier safe. Add to that, that of all my 15.000 blocks I treid, I broke armor 4 times exactly (and believe me, I counted it!!!), causing 2 face-downs, one knockout and one injury (which occured in the second half of the second half). In return, I got two guys seriously injured, plus a KO that never recovered from turn 4 or 5 first half.
So, this game was one to quickly forget about.

The next game against chaos, I was still at 10 guys, with two of them MNGing I had 8. With only 50k in the bank, I decided against saving for my fourth blitzer, as I stated a couple of posts above, but bought a lineman instead.
So, kicking first half, I luckily managed to steal the ball from him and thus finished the half with a 1:0 lead. I tried and keep up the blocking and in the end even managed a 2:1 casulaty result in the end, but couldnt keep my opponent from equalising.

Soooo: As I was a little handicapped, concerning man power, I am not sure, if we can evaluate these two games in respect to how well my team in this special setup is doing. Fortunately, I am up to full strength in my next game, and due to some lucky income roll and a house rule concerning borrowing money, I have even brought my numbers up to 12, buying a second thrower again.
So, next game we might probably see, how far I can push my team. I have norse, orcs and - hmm, not sure, I think woodies - left in the first half of the season.

My team:

Borussia Bilanzbruch:
blitzer - +MA
blitzer - mblow or guard, not yet decided
blitzer - rookie

thrower - +ST
thrower - rookie

ogre - rookie

lineman - DP
5x linemen - rookie
