This orc roster is what I've used to become the NAF American Orc Leader:

1X Thrower
4X Black Orc Blocker
4X Blitzer
2X Line Orc
3X RR
1X FF

@whights: they are key players 2me, more then ghouls. like kithor2002 wrote with tackle they are perfekt. Ok you still cant do without ghouls but as long as they dont have block ghouls break very easily and they have no regeneration to heal them.

@Orclist from neoliminal: this would be my favorit list for a Cup etc. but not really for a leage I think. Its great, and its the max. lineup for orc, but for a 8-10 games leage it can be hard with FF 1, but under RR 04 its even better now. just hope to not loose 1-2 players in the first 2 games and everything will be great

1 Thrower
2 Line Orcs
2 Goblins
3 RR
1 FF

You can swap a BOB for a blitzer if you expect the competition to be more agile than bashy.

Am I right in thinking that Ogres are excluded from the rule about taking a minimum of 11 on starting roster?

If you need 11, I guess you start with 6 gobbos (obv) 5 ogres and either 2RR and 2 FF or 1RR and 9FF.

If you can get away with taking less than 11 to start with, then I'd imagine 6 gobbos, 4 ogres, 3RR, 7FF. That should enable you to buy an apo after game one and then a fifth ogre after game 3 or 4.

Nope, as far as i know here's no exception to the rule of 11

I don't like goblins (too easy to squish) and don't feel comfortable with only 11 players on the roster.

Goblins Bubb Style

12 Gobbos
2 Trolls
1 APO
3 RR
9 FF

This is for a long season league team. I like the APO upfront to protect the trolls and to concentrate future earnings on buying more gobbos (as you will inevitably need more and more)

The FF gives earnings a boost. The only thing that is tough is the 3 RR

well, if you like models ok, but i think that suggestions here are more in the "efficiency" approach. and a minotaur on a CD team is more of a burden for me. i would consider a Troll to be better: higher AV, regen, same MA as dwarves.
