Maybe a bit late:

I used the Vallejo "brush-on"-type, Matte. Looks very good, very natural. I just hope it will protect the minis while BB-ing, but I think it's rather nice, so far.

Nope, came out perfect ! Mind you that I used Vallejo Model Colors on these mostly, so they arent really bright coloured to begin with...

Even the minis I used the GW "Satin" Varnish on, became a LOT better, it took the sine away wich was very good.
