well some more early polling data that may help / hinder your opinion

we have 4 entries that are streaking away at the minute, with the leader having 77 points. 8 entries have 8 points seperating them as well. it's all a lot closer than i thought it would have been.

14 entries have been voted for in one way or another.

there's still plenty of time to get your vote in though before it all closes, and it may sound like a cliche but every vote does count.

I found the voting much harder this time around, lots of good entries wish I could have voted for 4 of them. Got my votes in though. :D

I still haven't voted and am unsure where my vote will go. The ogre is good but the shading and highlighting of the skin lets it down. Also it looks like it's out for a sunday stroll and not in a game of blood bowl. The Lizard is also eye catching but maybe a little too photoshoped! The touchdown gobbo and the nobbla with the chain saw also get on my short list. They're the ones I like and will have to look at a few more times.

Well done to everyone who took part. It' great to see so many entries.

Well,
I wouldn't have normally voted in a competition that I had entered, but w/o voting for my own was easy  There are some great minis here :o !! (I'll never win one of these online comps. without a proper digital camera :-? ). The top 2 for me were pretty obvious. I'm just hoping to get ANY points for my entry.

I love the shading on the TD Gobbo but the pose is too vertical for me. The paint is great but the complete mini, I thought, looks a little forced. That was the only reason I didn't vote for it.

Still undecided. Like LF, I think the contrast on the Krox has been skizzed up a little much, love to see it 'in the metal', looks a really nice job. I suppose that's the trouble with these kind of comps, difficult to compare like with like when they've been taken with different cams/different lighting/scanned etc.

I'm probably gonna go with Nobbla (given that it's a painting comp, and I'm not giving extra for conversions :P ), very nice indeed.

Night Gobbo's quality, I always struggle with shading black, and I do like the pose, more rugby than 'breaking the plane'.

The Ogre? Nice but I never really have been a fan of that guy's style of painting flesh, and there's a lot of it on this model. And a little too static despite some very nice touches. Wouldn't surprise me if it won the popular vote, but I'm not sure it should from a purist's point of view.
Very nice touches though, commended.

I can't begin to imagine who painted the Ramtut, could it possibly be the guy who always posts his pics with the same blue background? :)
Bandages look quality, but it's difficult to see the shading on the blue against the 'usual' blue background. Looks great though, would love to see it in the metal, bring it to the BB please?

Number 5: Not sure what it is (and not too sure about the pose really to be honest, but I won't mark down for conversions the same as I won't mark up). Whatever, the paint looks really high quality, another one I'd want to see in RL. Top job.

Those are the contenders 'paint-wise', although I adore the shark, love the concept and the imagination behind it, top notch job!
24's a lot of fun too. In fact all the conversions are neat (special mention for 3 too), and the quality's a whole lot better than last time overall. Good job all, thanks for sharing.

(And if your wondering what happened to my entry (from the O&W Dynamite), person unknown had damaged both arms to the extent where I had to go back to seperation, re-glue and back to green stuff from a finished fig bar flock. Am not a happy bunny and struggling to get the enthusiasm to get it back to where it was before. )

I was wondering where he was. I'm distressed that he's been such a pain to you.

Actually I deliberately didn't mail you about it snew because if I don't get a seamless fix (and I doubt I will) it'll be apparent every time you look at him. I might of just 'winged' it without mentioning it. :)
I'll do my best.

I know the work'll be appreciated snots, it's a lot to do with why it's taken so long....

Anyway, enough rambling....back to the subject at hand..

Don't like that #52 entry at all. Which stick was used to paint that effort with?

I fell for it. I don't see a 52. I thought he may have been talking about my entry.
