OH I'm not complaining. I placed pretty much where I thought I would, but thanks for the kudos Bonehead. It was a pretty quick paint job to go with my Valk/amazon/norse team for the TKC II. I realized that I could'nt finish the Pro Elf team I had planned so I simply pumped out a "minotaur/ogre", converted cheerleader/score counter and Phil's Imps (baby snow trolls) as reroll counters to try to offer something new and maybe place in the painting contest. I'm still pretty happy with it. The color selection/contrast isn't really there with all the blue skin and blue & white uniforms. I threw the stripes on at the last minute to try to break it up a little, but the Valks kit colors were what were done. Had I more time I would have probably greenstuffed the tunic to chainmail or fur. The best part was actually getting 3 totally different looks on the Horns, teeth, and bone.

Congratz to Norse. he was my Number 1 choice and i think his stood out from the rest. I recognised his painting immediately, but it still didnt put of my vote  .

My second went to Bonehead, and yes it was the conversion as much as the painting i went for. great figure and one i'd ike to recreate for my collection.

My third went to the She-Elf i plumped for that one ahead of Stu's although there was little between them it was just a personal choice. I think it was possibly the Orange on the Chainsaw put me off voting there. But as expected a very clean paint job from Stu, who i regard as one of the best painters on the board.

I didnt vote for The Krox as it looked a little bit to much paint shopped to me, would like to see it in the flesh so to speak to get a better impression.

As for mine, well 8th is ok. Better Photo's may have pushed it a little higher perhaps, who knows. Thanks to everyone who put a vote in for it, and didnt get distracted by the " What the %$*^ comments it seemed to generate

Lastly big thanks again to Evil Git for organising and hosting what turned out to be a fun competition. Have to get my painting head on to see if i can get higher next time. Although if Del/Woody/Horekim/Kool/Tim/ add themselves to the throng8th is goona be as good as i'll ever finish :(

... as i read this quite a few time now i have to say something about Dave´s kroxigor. Dave asked here openly at the board if someone can help him to brighten up his to dark picts of his entry. So i brighted them up a bit using Photoshop with brightness and contrast. No colorcorrection or pushing up the colors from my side ! I´m sorry, if some voters changed there mind because of this. It´still a very well painted mini !
