the scale should be ok, I never noticed their minis being much smaller than current GW, definitely they aren't smaller than vamps/pro elves.

I have the axe version, I will compare (and perhaps photograph) her with some other minis tonight (if I remember to do so)

I've got a pic, she is very similar in size to the second edition line-elf and the 3rd edition zombie I put her next to, so she seems fine in size.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of nudey models - it seems a bit desperate and geeky. But the model that started this thread is really nice ... the helmet is just great.
