we sure play a different game, i never cages, instead i pretend to be an elf or something, throwing the ball a lot.
I tried that with an Orc team... had my best Win statistic ever till I reached game 25, then I have lost/tied every game since.

Orcs can play that game at lower teamratings, but without the bashing skills, they simply cannot outscore finesse teams at higher team ratings. Or at least I can't, perhaps you can, if so... you are a better player than me, and send me a guide please :)

I play with my thrower actually throwing the ball. Sometimes he'll run in the occasional TD, but most the time, he'll run back, pick the ball up and throw the ball to the line. This is after I've moved everybody and made my blocks so if the ball isn't caught it's more than likely in the middle of a bunch of orcs.

However, the rest of the team is bashy. Guard, Tackle, Strip Ball, and mighty blow. So far my team is 11-1 in the league against a variety of different teams, coaches, and playing styles.

I personally enjoy the 4 black orc, 4 blitzer 3 lineman starting roster. Suites my style of play and helps to get those key positionals skills faster. It sets you up nicely the entire way in my estimation. I also stack up on mighty blow on the blitzers, and work hard to develop the black orcs with tds and the like. All the other fluff can wait for later. The key in that setup is bashing in order to develop players as quickly as possible. With enough opponents off the pitch you can risk giving it the the black orcs, unless its a bad kick then I'm all over that opportunity. Anyways, just the way I enjoy playing with orcs.

Well take Guard as the first skill on all players and all dice rolls would soon be in your favor. The opponents' rerolls would be eaten alive by failing 1-die blocks while you can spend yours on catching the ball and an occasional gfi. Orcs are strong and with Guard and AV9 yet even stronger.

I would never start a team with less than three Rerolls unless you are an elf team which it might be a lil' tough to get all of them.

Black Ork: Guard, Block
Blitzer: Guard, Tackle
Lineorc: Kick on first, Block on rest
Thrower: Accurate, Block

Well that is how I'd do it.

I prefer this starting lineup:

3x~Black Orc
3x~Blitzer
1x~Thrower
4x~Line Orc
3x~Reroll
7x~Fan Factor

I like having three blocks from the beginning, ie no waste of RR on the LoS...or so-ish.

The key to the orcs is the BOBs, whether you play a throwing or bashy game. Once you can get block on all4 black orcs you can control the centre of the pitch against just about all opposition. Tying opponents into the centre to stop you steamrollering them gives you more space for blitzers/gobbos to run into if you want to recieve a pass.
