Without being forced to choose a favorite, I would say that the Italian Ogre team that was posted a few months ago was equally cool....then there is that great Norse team from the TBBF guy....the paintjob on that one French 2nd edition Elf team is to die for...I can't seem to think of any others right now....

What I love the most about Del's team is the green stuff'ed 'shoulder pads' and helmets. What sucks about teams like these is it raises the bar...again...now mediocre painters/modellers have to try hard even harder to catch up to this level of modelling.

Anthony's team, having seen both del's figs AND those of anth's Norse team, is not even close to these necro's ..

they are very, very nice as well but these have a biiig edge ..

better greenstuffing
better blending (del's my god in that respect)
better conversions
better all round painting

all IMHO obviously

Really nice team. So...as for a question...how long did it take you to finish it?

The Best three i've seen in no particular order are these, the Hashrats and Horekims Elves. All three truly awesome, but probably shaded by Del for the conversion quality

Yes, Horekims paintjob is extraordinarily clean. Ancalagon's Lizards (both teams) are awesome too. The differences among premium painters are so subtle, that it comes down to personal preferences what style of painting you fancy more, and of course after reaching such quality in painting the extra conversions is the element that elevates the whole thing into another level.

I had ideas to do this team about a year ago. I painted fondu's werewolves to get some feel for possible colours and I think I painted the albion coast wight shortly afterwards (last summer) The first fig to get the green stuff pads and helmets was zombie 9 who was shown off at Carnage II last september(?).

I will do a couple more zombies to fill the team out and I will see how I feel about extra stuff. I would like to move on but at the same time I feel it's time to sit back and get more use out of some of the teams I already have. So don't expect a new team from me for a good year or more.

Really really cool..., i like very much your team, specially the conversion work of the zombies..., it's awesome..., but, as Grotuk said, they're better in real life ...

Congratulation for the team!!!

Gotta remember that Ant's Norse team in question is pretty old, he won Best Paint with them at Resurrection 3 years ago (and they were on the old TBBF site waaaay before that), but the converted Nurgle/Chaos team he brought to the first Blood Bowl a year later (which rightly took Best Paint) were streets ahead of the Norse.

Definately in my personal top 3. Beautiful work, with a bit of luck somebody will have some pics kicking around for those that haven't seen them.

yeah probably put the necros in any hall of fame - no need to argue fine points, they are just fantastically painted.

Not sure even the photography can do them justice - really sound team :)
