Well Storm Vermin get general and Agility so I suggest giving him like guard, tackle, and Mighty Blow. For your AG5 Gutter Runner give him dauntless on doubles, then Horns, they stack and thats a nice thing to have happen. If normal skill give him leap, then stripball so he can be a cage breaker.

I would suggest leveling up the linerats and other players, get that 1 turn scorer I know you want too, so get him and put his ass in the reserves box all game long until you need a 1 turn TD. With the linerats, claw is probably a good skill on doubles, same for storm vermin. If you can get dauntless and claw on same player nice. Claw/RSC is a good combo we all know if your lucky enough.

But normal skill progress try different things. I would never give a gutter runner diving tackle because if he passes the dodge anyway, then your in hell and gonna get fouled.

I just got a double for my fourth GR, so I think I'm gonna give him dauntless so he'll be my cage-breaker. My AG5 one got a normal roll so I think about giving him block pass. My thrower got his second skill too and it's also a normal roll so I'll give him dump-off, with that and my AG5 GR in a quick pass range, I can basically put them anywhere on the field as long as they both aren't in anyone's tackle zone. Finally, my skill-less SV earned his first (normal) skill, so I'll give him Mighty Blow.

Also, as my league's quite an unexperienced one, the strenght teams just never understood their players, they keep focusing on scoring touchdowns and stopping me from doing so, instead of trying to get my fragile players out of their way and THEN score their touchdowns. Plus most of our active players coaches speed/agility team (lot of elves), it helps to avoir casualties and it allows me to take some risks. (which is why, Diving Tackle is usefull and not that risky)

About Headsplitter, we use Star Player in our league, one per team (if they want to), is it that on normal league we can't? Anyway, getting him is my way to scare a little my opponents, with him and a rat ogre on his side, even the dwarves start to feel nervous.

oops I had a typo

Your league is not normal with the Star Player thing. Almost all leagues don't do that. It is just not widely accepted for a number of reasons. One is the star player is an actual player so no two teams can have the same one. Also most teams will want Morg'N'Thorg. He is the best Star out there by far. 6/6/3/10. Is great plus the more he has. So who gets to hire that brute permanately?

It is an interesting idea but not a common one.

I like your dauntless gutter runner cage breaker. Now he needs leap or horns, and stripball to make people tremble with fear.
