Interesting.

The mino team would suck pretty hard. Wild animal sucks with multiple WA's.

I think the treeman team would be thed best. Best staying power and best nega trait. Also Jump up on the brownies is better than horns or the no skill the gnoblars have.

Have you actually tried the teams? I've never played with 1 ST players before. I find it difficult to picture how such extreme teams would play in practise.

i dunno about the WA thing. you know, they got this BIG advantage to not lose their TZ, which would prevent having holes in your defense. it would certainly be hard to play, just not as bad as it may look first =)

with really cheap players to compensate, I wanted expensive RR's. That way there is a harder decision to start and in the future.

edited to give gnoblars sidestep.

It looks like you may actually get your wish.

Galak has posted a new proposal for the ogre team, looks like this

Okay ... work with me and let's come to a solution together. Here is my counter proposal.

0-16 Snotlings 30,000 5/1/3/5
Dodge, Right Stuff, Side Step, Stunty, Titchy

0-6 Ogres 140,000 5/5/2/9
Loner, Bone-head, Mighty Blow, Thick Skull, Throw Team-mate

0-8 Re-roll counters: 70,000 gold pieces each

Titchy (Extraordinary)
Titchy players tend to be even smaller and more nimble than other Stunty players. To represent this, the player may add 1 to any Dodge roll he attempts. On the other hand, while opponents have to dodge to leave a Titchy player’s tackle zone, Titchy players are so small that they do not exert a -1 modifier when opponents dodge into their tackle zone.

==========================================================

This solves the concerns mentioned above. The team still is powered down at higher TRs. It has the same mould as the CD and Vamp team. The Titchy skill is short and simple (and can be even shorter if the descriptive text is removed). The price increase on the Snotlings means that we still don't have a starting TV 100 team that can take a normal inducement if they purchase 5 FF. The Snotlings breaking less easily should offset the 10k price increase (I believe I have enough playtesting with the team to predict that effect). This new roster means that Ogre choices will have choices on roster composition when starting their teams again (unlike they do now). And we remove the exception for Ogre teams being allowed to start with less than 11 players.

Galak
I know your not a huge vault fan, but its close to what you proposed. Loner means the ogres use team rerolls successfully only on a 4+ (i.e. opposite of pro).

i wonder how the loner will affect them. I think with st1 players it might be overkill. But interesting post :) thanks.
