Paint stripping
Yes, I am afraid it is true... another newbie has joined the boards!
I would put this in the newbie thread, but felt it was more suitable here... but enough rambling:
I have recently re-discovered BloodBowl, and inspite of (what appears to be) JJs best attempts to ruin the game, I am trying to get back into it.
However since the last time I was playing this was when Third edition came out for the first time... my miniatures are looking a little shoddy. my painting skills back then left a lot to be desired!
I have a variety of plastic and metal blood bowl miniatures that I am looking to repaint, but first I need to get the paint already on there off.
How do I do this?
My first guess was with white spirit and an old toothbrush... would that be the best way?

metal minis - brake fluid bath, toothbrush the paint away
plastic minis - dettol or pinesol bath, toothbrush
Leave them in the solution overnight - toothbrush clean, job done!

Unfortunately the search doesn't seem to like quotation makrs much meaning I am getting all results for painting in general and stripping the ball in tactics... I can't seem to just search within miniatures either. I did try.Thadrin wrote:ARGH:
SEARCH FUNCTION! SEARCH FUNCTION!
Seriously, we've had this pop up at least twice in the last six months alone...

If you use the AND function in the search it really does work.
I used stripping AND miniature
and came up with:
viewtopic.php?t=14645&highlight=stripping+miniature
Try it and see if it works for you as well. (Betya it does!)

That is exactly why Thadrin does not like it when another topic on an old subject is started. It makes it harder for all of to find what we need to find.
Maybe the mods (oh damn, I'm one of them) need to start cleaning up this forum so that it will be more easy to get what you want with a search.
I'll discuss this issue ASAP!
