I'd say that trying to make him into some kind of uber play-maker is a mistake. AG5 is good, but it's not that good.

I've got an AG5, dodge line elf on my dark elf team and have been mostly using him on defence to dodge through the lines and apply pressure/hinder cage formation rather than blitzing. I then have him marking someone at the back of the other team, meaning if the ball pops free it can be thrown to him to catch on a 2, even in a tackle zone, and he can leg it for the endzone.

Give him dodge and use him as an all-round opportunist.

I agree. Just use him as a line-elf with a little extra. Need to pick up a ball in a lot of tz's, a reliable receiver in pouring rain, someone to throw that long pass when your thrower is down? Block a passing lane? He's your man. So make sure he gets where he's needed and give him dodge.

"Ace as tits." That just got added to my personal lexicon.
ace!

thanks for all the advice guys!

i really like the idea of having all-round handy men in defence, sort of backfield ball retrievers.

maybe dodge and sure hands, to really pick up those impossible balls!

lots of people say that elves are one thing or another, but i love playing them as a 'surprise play' team. the sort of team youve just about beaten, then they get up and score a td! great skills ive got are jump up on both blitzers, pass block on an AG5 catcher (ace as tits...i hope-havent used him in a game yet) dump off, leap, and diving tackle(legendary)

anyone else based a team on the ''theyll never hit us from all the way over th-'' theory?
