You CAN blitz AND pick up the ball though. Picking up the ball is no action.

Just been speaking with my opponent in that game he thinks that when I did it I did the Blitz one turn and did the pass in the next (He thinks he rolled a Double Skull for his first block without any Re-Rolls)
