Well my friends and brother and I have recently become obsessed with Blood Bowl and were wondering if the teams we have chose for ourseves(We chose for looks not skills...)are ok choices and if certian people will ever be able to win.
I chose Lizardmen and am currently using 4 Saurii and 7 Skinks.
My brother chose Dark Elves and has 2 Witch Elves, 2 Blitzers, 1 Thrower and 7 Line Elves.
One Friend chose Humans and has what came in the starter box.
Another friend chose Orcs and has 1 Thrower, 4 Black Orc Blockers, 1 Ogre and 4 Goblins as well as lots of other players(8 Linemen, 4 blitzers, 2 Goblins and another Thrower)
and my last friend chose Dwarves and has 6 Longbeards, 2 Blitzers, 2 Runners, and 2 Trollslayers.
as you can see we don't have alot as of yet and will be adding more so what can you reccomend as additions/changes for any of the above(Or all) teams listed.
Thanks alot.
PS - Can Star Players be hired even when your not in League play(IE for a single Match?)

You can play online for free at fumbbl.com
Try out each others' teams and see what you enjoy using. Dwarves are slow and methodical. Elves are fast but fragile...

are those lists the physical models you have or your rosters? the lizard team will definitely want to pick up the last 2 saurus on their roster eventually, tho 4 to start with is a roster many people play with. if you dont have the models I would recommend buying them though so that you can hire them to your team later in the league
check out this thread if you want recommendations on what rosters are good starting rosters based on the opinions of many people on this forum.
any of those teams have a chance to win. it will depend on how well the coaches can play their teams, against their opponents, and of course some dice rolls
But none of those teams are "wow, there's no way they can win".
and duke has it right on the star players, if you're using LRB4 (which is highly recommended) you must pay the first price in the list to hire the star for a one-off game. It's much more expensive to hire them for one-offs than to freeboot them in league play because they can have such a dramatic impact on the game.
oh, and welcome to the boards

Use the Stars league system on the Naf site and run an open league so you can use and borrow each others figs for your teams. Play as much or as little as you like with various teams.
