Thx, did you include the bonehead roll in these percentages?

I guess you did. If so, the percentages for opponent down are very similar.

So, for attacking purposes i think pro is a lot better, because it doubles as sorta-pass for TTM, sorta-surehands for picking up etc,...

Ofcourse, it will be difficult to compare if you have enough Teamrerolls,...but suppose you have 6 Ogres fielded you are bound to roll 1 Bonehead on average,...
and if you want to TRR the bonehead-roll you still have the pro roll for your block/pickup/pass.

I havent played an Ogre team yet, so i dont know how important block is in defense with your ST-5-guard,...i think that should go a long way,...but am not sure.

I guess i would give the first one pro, the second one block
:-)

the thing is: a 2db against with the attacker having Block and the defender not having Block, is a 11/36 chance only for the attacker to go down, and a 1/4 of the defender going down. in other words, it is a good tactic to move around Ogres, even if it is somewhat risky.

I did included bonehead roll into percentages. For blocking purposes pro is nearly the same as block, and you can also you reroll on block dices after you used pro on bonehead roll. For safety of ogre is block better, but it is not needed untill you meet guard dwarves, guard chaos or khemry. Other teams are not strong enough I think.

1/3 of yourself going down, 1 out of 4 defender going down.
I think if this is your major tactic you will lose the game.

Ofcourse sometimes it is something you need to do, and for a "need-to-do-chance" it isnt too bad, especially if a pushback is enough,...but still i wouldnt risk it too often.

With Matkovs math in mind i would go pro for sure.

Blocking is the Ogres game, and they dont get a lot worse from chosing pro over block.
Bonehead is THE Ogres weakness, and that gets 50% better with pro.
...and ball and gobbo handling too,...

never did i meantion "major tactic". but 2/3 to push away this big bad ST5 Guard player is as good as dodging away with an ST3. of course if you spend your time throwing away 2db you will lose, still, at key times it can allow you to get through.

Has anyone tried taking Pass for an ogre on a double? It will encourage more chucking, especially with an AG4(5) gob.
