Go for it, they were proposed before on Fumbbl but someone decided to totally alter the team roster and take credit for the concept of deadlings :P

It's a darn cool concept; I like it a lot.

But no Ghoulings (6 2 3 5 dodge, side step, right stuff, stunty AG)?
No Wightlings?

And I'd have given the Skellies MA4 AV6, the Zombies MA3 AV7, the Mummies MA2 ST4.

Not sure I'd have gone with the Mummies and the Dead Wood, though if that's a Skeletal Tree it should be MA1 ST6 AV9.

I thought the same thing then I realized why I quit coming to this section...

Seperated Chaos Rosters

Nippons

Toby

Brettonians

Races where the teams start with ST 4 and AG 3 for under 100K

Toby

etc...

It's the rare gems like this that make me think that I need to put up with the muck.

Great team. They will be in my league!
Anyone play them yet?

Thought I'd bring this discussion over here from the Werewolves Poll thread in General Chat for a bit more sanity in topic sorting...
http://www.talkbloodbowl.com/phpBB2/vie ... hp?t=16946

Quick recap: There are Bags-0-Dogs and Bags-O-Zombies for the game Zombies!!! The doggie zombies are perfect for Deadlings.

I also just pulled out my Zombies!!! for a look. While they're too big for deadlings -- they are plastic and could be shortened up easily enough by snipping out little bits from the limbs and waist and gluing it all back together.

Its a very soft plastic, so you'd need to use Plasti-Zap for glue. (Its by the maker of Zap-A-Gap and works great on soft plastics!)

Also, Black Raven Foundry has a great line of 15mm fantasy figures. At a quick search, I didn't find any photos online, but their Undead ought to have some suitable figs to convert.

Cheers,
Maureen

Yes this threads been dead a long time but considering this is a thread about undead it's no surprise that it's risen from the grave :D

With the Impact! figs out and more on the way I'm interested in finding out if anyone has had any experience with this roster or any other form of the Deadling roster.

Code: Select all

Qty Position Mv St Ag Av Skills & Traits Cost Skills
0-16 Skeletal 5 2 2 7 Right Stuff, Stunty 30,000 Gen
       Deadling Regenerate

0-16 Zombified 4 2 2 8 Stand Firm, Stunty 30,000 Gen
       Deadling Regenerate

0-2 Mummified 3 3 1 8 Mighty Blow, Regenerate 50,000 Gen, Str
       Deadling Stunty

Re-Rolls: 70,000

Big Guy: Dead Wood
Qty Position Mv St Ag Av Skills & Traits Cost Skills
0-2 Dead Wood 2 5 1 10 TTM, Really Stupid, 100,000 Gen, Str
                                 Stand Firm, Regenerate

With the LRB5 rules, Stand Firm no longer helps with dodging, and so it might not be as appropriate for the deadlings as it used to be. Perhaps it should be replaced with something else?

Anyway, as the roster is now I think the Zombies are underpriced compared to the skeletons. Regular zombies got +10k in LRB, and the deadling zombies are even more powerful than their skeletal counterparts than the regular ones. Stand Firm (even though it was nerfed in LRB5) is way more useful than Right Stuff, especially with AG2. With this roster most teams would probably only have a few skellies for ball handling, and the rest would be zombies.

A good suggestion I read was to give the skeletons Sure Hands (no increase in price)

Justification is that the team knows they need SOMEONE to pick up the ball so they only hire deadling skeletons that can pick up the ball.

I would support that change as I agree that the Skeletons aren't as good as the Zombies.

And CyberHare is looking at the team from an LRB 4.0 basis (in which case I think the Sure Hands is even more important).

Has anyone tried updating this for LRB 5?
