Hmm, other recent threads on the board have mentioned the problem that Amazon (and other dodgy teams) have once opponents start developing a lot of tackle.
How about if each of these skills could be purchased multiple times?
-- Tackle only works if you have it to the same or higher level than the opponent's level of Dodge. That way, the Dodge skill never gets permanently shut down.

Well maybe the reason wasn't power gaming abuse, can't really remember what the reason was (and can't be arsed to go look for the old buried thread), but the idea wasn't very popular around here (I had suggested it a couple/three years ago). I'd say if you want to try it out as house rules, go for it.

I really think that is not a good idea indeed. Low TR teams are aleady so boring : everybody takes blok, then elves take dodge, others take tackle...
that would lead the dwarf to take double blokc sooner to avoid others blok, and it would result in a rock scissors paper game...
I think it would drastically decrease the amount of differenty sklls taken, and that is never a good thing

Very valid point. I agree competely.the.tok wrote:it would result in a rock scissors paper game...

The teams that are equipped with dodge from the start, benefits from "forcing" the other teams to take tackle while themselves are free to choose any viable skill at that point. What happens is that the other teams either choose tackle to bring it back to equal or else ignore it and accept the dodgers doing their thing. Only problem left is to adapt to the changing game as you move towards higher TR levels in the league.
