Back to that TR 100 league again
I have found out our house dwarf player decided to use his team, and I can't now. I can use other teams for this 16 game +4 playoff series. I was considering Norse, Humans, Wood/Dark Elves, Orcs, Necromantic, or another teeam I haven't thought of yet.
Opposition includes:
Dwarves
Chaos Dwarves
Amazons
and other teams, but right now we have dodging teams, and hitting teams. What is the best route for me to take to make my team win the league?

I would say wood elves. You can beat the amazons with speed, and they will not want to get into a smashfest with you because they are just as fragile.
Chaos Dwarves are too slow to catch you, so you should beat them handily.
Dwarves could cause you some problems if you rely on dodge too much. But, a well played WE team can beat them handily. I think the bigger question is how many players you'll have left after the game.

If the Experimental Norse roster (see New Concepts) currently under discussion would be kosher with your group, I'd be dying to try it out. I'm unfortunately the League Manager for my league, so saying "I'll be trying the new experimental Norse roster" this season would look ... fiiishy.

I like that new roster, the way I look at it if I was league manager I would say you can try it out too guys if you want too. But in my league if the manager allows me to use that roster the other guys would cry and complain on how its not fair.
My friend suggested Orcs to me, the roster I cooked up seems really good for what my group is thus far.
It is
4 Black Orcs
3 Blitzers
3 Lineorcs
1 Goblin
7FanFactor
3 Rerolls
I like it due to the fact it gives the Black Orcs alot of time to develop, and the Blitzers are three deep already, I figure after game 1 Apoth, and game 3 Ill have blitzers, then if all goes well I will have the Troll by game 5, or 6. I mean are Orcs gonna do well in this type of league?

With orcs you really need a thrower. Second, you are going to be playing the same type of game as the dwarves and the CD. If the dwarven coach is good, he should win this league pretty easily. He can nullify the Amazon team's advantage, and can bash with you and the CD.
Basically, all the games will be blood baths. Nothing wrong with that, just saying what they will be.

Our dwarven player is not overly good in his skill. I can always pretty much tell you how he is going to get his skills. If he rolls doubles he is going to take diving tackle (which doesn't effect me), on a normal roll he is going to probably take Mighty Blow first. That will help my blocking game against him. He has done that before, but in all honesty I don't think the dwarf guy is going to dominate just because of his skill. The definate wins are over some elves, and the Zons. Myself, and our Chaos Dwarf guy will probably beat up on him just a little bit after about 10 games the Orcs should be excellent.
The thing with a thrower was yea he has sure hands, and pass both excellent skills I was hoping to pick up and pass more with blitzers to get them their skills faster, and blitzers play both offence and defence, throwers after the team has developed only play offence. Also I don't want the thrower to pick up point after point, or get the MVP when it can go to a more important player like a black orc, or a lineorc. Early on I am going to try and cage a blitzer in with the other 2, and the goblin. The black orcs, and lineorcs are gonna be taking the line to cause cas points and punch holes in their field. After I get all of my blitzers their first skill (which will be guard for obvious reasons), I am going to attempt to score with the black orc so they can pick up block. By then hopefully I will have a Troll as well to soak up hits, and deal out pain randomly picking up SPP. This way I will out ST every other team in the league. The Chaos dwarves only have 2 ST4 guys, and a Minotaur (even if they are allowed a different big guy the player likes Minotaurs) The dwarves unless they roll crazy ST+ will be weaker then I am. Basically ST wise I will have the most ST on my team with the Black Orcs, and Troll. Here is the basic skill progression I want for my team
Black Orc's 1, and 3 - Block, Guard, Tackle, Mighty Blow
Black Orc's 2, and 4 - Block, Guard, Mighty Blow, Tackle
Blitzer's 1, and 3 - Guard, Tackle, Mighty Blow, PassBlock
Blitzer's 2, and 4 - Guard, Mighty Blow, Tackle, StripBall
thats positional advancement ill post more later what do you all think?

Don't mention that to Absent1.Warhammer wrote:With orcs you really need a thrower.
@Bizzy
He posted some interesting alterative Orc rosters with no throwers just like yours. He uses blitzers to run with the ball. I can't remember his exact lineup, but it was something like this:
320K 4 Black Orcs
320K 4 Blitzers
150K 3 linemen
can't remember how he did the rerolls and FF. I would take
180K 3 rerolls
30K 3 FF
as you don't need as much money with all AV 9.
Get the BO early to give them a better chance to skill up.
