Halfling rolls double 6's, what skill to take?

Post by carmachu »

Like i said, a halfling rolled double 6's for his skill roll, so I COULD take a strength upgrade(yeah right). So what skill do I take?

Its his first skill. I was thinking of block, make him a permanent line halfling. But I could also take kick, make my opponents really annoyed at deep kicks.

Thoughts?

If it were me I would take the str... the only other choice I see is block but that's a distant second compared to a str increase.

Why Str? raising up to 3 is being normal for other folks.

Exactly.. you'd have a dodgy str3 player who's stunty.... think about it... no more 2d blocks without assists for the most part... not enough? You mark his cage so he has no assists.. you dodge in for the 1d block...

stunty... dodge.. str3... really sounds decient to me

Yeah, take the str upgrade. What the hell, they'll never see him coming. :)

OH MAN!

As a long time Fling coach ... I cannot believe you don't see the benefit in ST 3 Flings.

The ability to dodge into a cage on 3+ and one dice hit most ball carriers. The ability to blitz most players with only one assist. The ability to force your opponents to need an assist to 2 dice block him if he has the ball. The abilitiy to blitz Goblins, Gutter Runners, and Human Catchers for 2 dice smack down if they get close.

Dude ... never turn down an ST 3 Fling ... they rock.

Alright, alright, I'll take the Strength. You convinced me.

I just thought there might be a skill better to take.

Imagine the feeling of taking a skill now and rolling doubles for the next one.........

That alone should be motivation enough to take the ST now.

My Bulls have the "Thin Skull" trait. After every block they make, roll a D6. On a 1+ they get ko-ed and stay in the ko-box for the rest of the game.

You want to take the +ST every single time on every single player. Even on a treeman (obviously).

Just think, you could get a two dice block on most catchers!
