Hey, I'm putting together a set of house-rules using the PBBL as a base (we have some 3rd-ed fans). One element of the PBBL I really like is the new Fan Factor rules, but I do have a small problem with them: on the low end, victory in the game means that +1FF is absolutely assured and losses mean nothing for FF, while on the very high end, every loss always means lost FF, but a win means nothing. I hate those absolutes, and I want to make it so there's at least a token possibility that you'll lose FF for losing or gain FF for winning. I also like open-ended fan factor. To that end, I've come up with 3 possible house-rule ideas. Which if any of these do y'all like best or hate most? Should I go with a combination, or should I scrap the ideas one and all? Do you see hidden complications or implications in the rules you don't like? Are these rules too wonky? Is there a better way to word them?
1) At the end of the game, when you roll 2d6 for your fan factor changes, apply the following:
A) on a 10+, you don't lose FF, even if you lost the game and had a FF higher than your roll. If you won the game, you gain FF automatically.
B) on a 4 or less, you don't gain FF for winning, no matter how low your Fan Factor. If you lost the game, you lose FF automatically.
2) At the end of the game, when you roll 2d6 for your fan factor changes, apply the following:
A) on a 12, you gain FF, regardless of whether you won or lost.
B) on a 2, you lose FF, regardless of whether you won or lost.
3) Apply modifiers for casualties or TDs to the 2d6 roll for fan factor changes (maybe +1 for 2+ cas, +1 for 2+ tds). This could be applied with rules 1) and/or 2) if those rules apply to the roll before modifiers only.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.
