I am thinking the same :(
Why would you skip it? Just because of this ticket thing? Surely this would not stop your enjoyment of the event it'self?
don't worry cluster Valen always says that and the comes begging for a ticket later :D

Well, there will be very few people from the BB circuit there it seems, so the social side of things will be sorely lacking.

Unfortunatley I think it may, alot of my friends from around the BB community being replaced by WFB and 40k players may actually affect my enjoyment, the fact there is usually about 25 spanish guys there adds to the enjoyment aswell. But the fact there wont be even half the tickets avaialble (half due to half going to the GCn and there always a few freebies to other peopls) means alot of these people won't be there.

That is it, as Hangus said I generally complain about the price say i am not goign but still end up getting a ticket mainly because of the social side of things, but i truly feel the social side will be gone.

This is exactly the kind of thing that has made me shake my head all the way through this post. What makes you think that people not on the BB circuit would be any less social?

You should see this as a potential opportunity to meet new people and get new recruits to the BB circuit.

It's not that they are not social, it is that we don't know them, and will never see them again after the BB. They aren't likely to go to any of the other BB events (history shows this). I think by "the social side of things" we mean meeting up with people you have met before, or know online.

I have noticed Cluster that you have ignored the question earlier that if the biggest WFB torni of the year and half the tickets were given to the NAF before general sale would the GCN members be happy about that?

I am truly staggered by this. It's another example of the 'them and us' thing.

Surely we are all gamers? Not just one or the other. It just seems so black and white with some people here. Everyone is there to play Bloodbowl and have a great time, we are all on the same side. This should be seen as an oppotunity to spread the Bloodbowl word guys. If you try and limit this kind of event to just the hardcore the game will slowly die as they move on. No one wants that do they?

I doubt they would be, and I have never agreed that what GW did was right. I think first come, first served is the only fair way of doing it.

Saved myself a phone call by the sounds of it.

Maybe just turn up at Bugman's for a 2-day piss up instead. ;)

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

We are not talking about just allow access to the hardcore players...but if i go to england i prefer to chat with some of my TBB friends, play with BB skilled players and not just found some local group team-mates chatting their way and not sharing their fellings (as i see last year) with the other people...and why not say...much of them are really poor players and doubt many times about rules (ie TTM).

If i travel 1000 km to play BB i wanna play great matches, not win to a newbies. If a newbie wanna start playing tourneys (and most of cases start and stop) go to your nearest tourney, the TO is gonna appreciate your interest. An for sure, the ticket its gonna be cheaper.

Just my eurocent :p

My Girlfriend is going to play this year. It will be her second year and her second tourney. Should I tell her not to come?
