Would there be any problems with me scanning the relevant article into a .pdf for people to download? If not, I'll see if my OCR is up to the task later this week.

Well, GW wouldn't be happy if they find it, so don't make a big thing about it. Probably better to make a pdf of it, and send it to people.

If you can, go for it. I'm obviously doing something wrong, as every time I scan a page (or 2) I end up with a file about 10megs in size.

I'd like a copy if one becomes available. At some point I'd like to try to run a minor league tourney using BB7s, Beachbowl and Streetbowl pitches. Ships would be fun to add in too.

Cheers,
Maureen

Use the search function here, and you'll find a link to the rules.

Ok, well because I'm having leg trouble and as a consequence can't walk anywhere. I'll sort out a pdf scan of the ships rules this weekend.

Smaller images

Darkson, try reducing your image resolution to 72 dpi, and keep reducing colour depth... first greyscale, and if that's not good enough drop it down to 16 colours. Black-on-white (normal) text can be done with just two colours if it's a very crisp scan, but sometimes you need 4-8 colours to capture a couple of dodgy grey shades that slip in.

Once you get down to 72 dpi and 4 colours, the files should be veeery veeery small.

Scanning it in now. Looks like it'll be a managable size even with OCR. But we'll see.

Edit: Doh! It came out at 9.1meg, despite my attempts to make it scan at a lower res. I could shrink the file size if I scanned it in as pictures, but not at OCR.

Still, I can email this (just) or put it on rapidshare to be hosted for people with beefier interweb connections to grab. pm me if it's wanted (remember your email address people ;)). I have to do a stupid write up right now so the smaller (picture) version won't be until monday evening.
