How do you make pictures work correctly?

However you play online - Java, Vassal, Email, Cyanide etc - talk about it here.
This is also the place for discussing the various tools for managing leagues, teams and so on.

How do you make pictures work correctly?

Post by erikj8 »

I saw an attempt to answer this in another post, but what was written didn't make sense or at least didn't work the way I read it. When I link a picture during team creation or adjustment- I find that "In Game" the picture that shows is the little dwarf and "no pic found" guy. Can someone clarify the proper procedure that will allow pics during play?

Thanks a lot!

Make sure the pics are in the "roster" folder, and that that folder is in the same folder as the Pbem tool.

If using TeamCreator: Click on the "tick" box, and a box will pop-up, with the PbeM folder. Browse to the pic you want (you'll get a little thumbnail), and hit ok. If you see a tick, it's in.

When using the PBeM tool: Right-click the player and select "Stat Change". In the pic box, click File, and browse to the pic you want (no thumbnail this way). Select the pic you want, and click "use current values". If you want the changes to stick in the PBeM, you need to do this AFTER you've started the post-game sequence.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

It is important to remember that when your opponent saves your roster from the league website, they must select "save as - HTML only" NOT "save as - webpage complete". Otherwise you lose the pictures.
