models for norse teams

Post by sympatico »

Well, I´m back with another question (seems like I´m keeping the newbie forum going these days) Anyway, I was thinking about playing the norse but have not seen any models for the Ulfwerener and snow trolls on the online store. Are there available BB models for these characters? If not, which models do you norse players out there use for them?
On a related note, are there any available BB snotling models? As I recall, the snotlings in warhammer were only available in clusters on a large base, so what do people use to represent one snotling on the blood bowl field if playing ogres?

no official bb ulfenwerner models yet. I know some will use the Necro werewolves, others might look to reaper or other suppliers. Check around, probably in the Miniatures section.

No official bb snotlings either. You can get WHFB and snip the weapons, check around places like Ebay or the For Sale section, sometimes people with the old 2nd edition snots put them up (but they're popular, so act fast when they're up  ). A great alternative is to use Phig's Imps. They're the perfect size and they wear football helmets. Check out Tritex games and Impact! Miniatures to get these. I got a slew back from phil and they're really, really nice models that make great snotlings.

Can't be ordered yet, but keep an eye out for Impact! miniatures going live.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Heresy miniatures and Reaper have some great Werewolves that can he easily used for Ulfwerners. Like Lawquoter do a search and you should find lots of cool models.

But buy your snowtroll from Impact! He rocks. :D

And I don't know how big this thing is but it looks like it would play Blood Bowl.

I know these aren't official but reaper makes great minis at a great price and if enough people buy from them AND LET THEM KNOW IT'S FOR BLOOD BOWL they may start a fantasy football line!

That last one is a Giant, Dark Lord. He's Easily 4-5 times the size of an ogre.

Not to steal the thread or anything but I know Impact! is planning on making a werewolf in the near future if you're interested....

If you are looking for GW minis, there a re quite a few threads here that could help you. Yhetees(sp?) - from the Ogre Armies (WFB) and Beorn Bearstruck (or whatever his name is) could well help you. Both would need slight converting though.

You're being far to kind to GW Ewan. The Yhetees aren't that good. Beorn is actually a decent fig, but I think that he will prove extremely difficult to find.

Well...damn. he looks good though. Too bad nobody has cracked the puzzle of making workable giant teams.

You'd think Galak would be all over that rather than Flings and Snots...ironic.
