Which of these would make for the most effective orc team?
I am currently in the mood to paint my orc team and need to decide on the final line-up. I have scoured the advice from other players out there and have put together what I feel would be the most effective orc teams for tournament play. Which teams have people tried or played against that they found worked really well (or didn't for that matter!)
Option #1 (12 players)
4 Black orcs 3 Blitzers 1 Thrower 2 Gobbos 2 Line Orcs 3 Re-rolls 1 FF
Option #2 (Brute force)
4 Black orcs 4 Blitzers 3 Lineorcs 3 Re-rolls 3 FF
Option #3 (Well Rounded)
4 Black Orcs 4 Blitzers 1 Throwers 2 Linemen 3 Re-rolls FF 1
Option #4 (Sneaky Gobbos)
4 Black orcs 3 Blitzers 2 Gobbos 2 Linemen 1 Thrower 3 Re-rolls 1 FF
Option#5 (Orc-Finesse)
3 Black orcs 4 Blitzers 2 Throwers 2 Linemen 3 Re-rolls 2 FF
Option #6 (Troll)
4 Black Orcs 4 Blitzers 1 Troll 1 Goblin 1 Thrower 2 Re-rolls 2 FF
Thanks for the help!

Option #3 (Well Rounded)
4 Black Orcs 4 Blitzers 1 Throwers 2 Linemen 3 Re-rolls FF 1.
You've got the force of the other options, 4 B.O's and 4 blitzers = ouch, and the thrower for ball handling. Linemen do linemen things.

For some reason it did not take the Otion #6 with the troll. so if anyone really feels that that one is best I guess you can just post it. It won't let me edit it now.
But to be honest, that is probably my least favourite of the 6.

Ive never been keen on gobbo's in orc teams, but if you do use option one, the 4 blitzers and only 3 BOB would be the better option. A ST 3 player with block has a 50% chance of putting down a player without block or dodge on a one dice block. The more down, the more armor roll. The more armor rolls, the more armor breaks

I'd go with 1, exchange the BOB for the 4th blitzer, grab dirty player skil and play on the numbers. When playing TR 100 you can expect a lot of bashy teams so you should plan accordingly...
In fact, I played a tr 100 tourney this weekend and smashed an Orc opponent which only took 11 players and no apo. Even AV 9 will break, especially if there's a dirty player in the game.

With Chaos Dwarfs, at the last Bradowrthy Bloodbowl, i killed 3 of my mates BOB in one turn. Outright dead - we rolled after just to see what wouldve happened in a league and i got three 6's.
Scary thing is all 3 kills came from a one dice block...but two of them were hobgoblins

Yeah, I realized it shortly after posting it! Thought about saying something, but then decided to leave it and see how long it took other people to notice!DesTroy wrote:Umm, you do realize that Options #1 and #4 are exactly the same, I hope...

#1 was my standard TR100 Orc roster that I used to get my Orc NAF ranking with. I think there are two factors making it better than #3 (IMO the best competitor).
1) Goblins are really good against some teams. Sideline cages become vulnerable to the gobbo blitz. Dodge & Stunty can make them adept at grabbing the ball in difficult situations or just plain difficult to take down.
2) 12 players means you've got cover for the inevitable KO/Cas (admittedly a bit more likely with gobbos in the team too).
