Thanks for the links!
Unfortunatly my knowledge of german is not enough to read those rules...
About Phil Bowmen's rules for stadiums, I realy like the way he allows the player to pick the 2+2+2 results to make a "singular" kick-off table for each stadium.
Its a lot more interesting to give the player the possibility to do a custom stadium rather than having a pre-set race specific one IMO.

Although the weather tables are good, they are jsut different names to the same results. I wonder about some completely different results as well. Like fog, which could inhibit passing, but not ball handling. icy pitch but not a blizzard etc.

Weather: http://bbowl.pendragonknights.co.uk/weather.html
Pitch condition: http://bbowl.pendragonknights.co.uk/pitchcondition.html

I can't stand the boringness of the existing weather table so I stole and modified the weather table and recently stole the pitch condition concept.

there was an extensive list of stadiums somewhere. Linked to the gate rolled up at the start of the game. So if you roll up a gate of 23 000 fans you get to play in the Moot Dome which has it's own weather table and pitch/stadium rules.

The was a long list of stadiums from the smallest halfling stadium to the mighty Altdorf Oldbowl. Each stadium had a region specific weather table - mountainous, coastal, normal, arctic, jungle desert etc... and special rules for each stadium like soft turf (-1 to all AV rolls) or Roof (no weather effects) etc...

Teams did not have home stadiums but I suppose it would be an easy job to modify the rules to work for a home stadium system.

Anyone know what rules i am talking about and where to find them?

I really like those rules. Enough to give a little different flavor, but it doesn't go too far.

Are these rules actually out there in the public domain or do they only exist inside the magazine? A lot of nice feedback and I wouldn't mind having a read of them myself if I could.

I think that they are included with an old rules pack I made up for my league.

http://merry1.users.lantic.net/Da%20Lee ... 20Pack.doc

I do remember using them in my league years ago which is why I was asking about them. DesTroys reply jumped my memory :)

other than in that document I don't know of anywhere on the web where you can get it...although I am sure they are available somewhere out there!

Actually, my league uses a version of these rules, although we don't use the random stadia concept. Instead, each team has its own stadium, and may choose the climate and ONE stadium feature for free. Number of seats is not considered. Any further additions to stadium features after the first cost 500K gold pieces each. If the climate is changed, the whole stadium must be rebuilt (because except for the Chaos All-Stars' Palace of Eternal Suffering, no stadium can be physically moved). Teams may also play in any of the pregenerated stadia, but no team has yet done so, as coaches prefer to do it themselves.
