More fun in general.
C'mon Simon, I don't want to turn this into another "versus" thread, but how about backing up your points? :P More fun? How? I'd say secret weapons, special play cards and less walkover games makes PBBL more fun. But I would say that. How exactly, in your opinion, is LRB more fun?
Secret Weapons: Basically, the ones in PBBL are crap. I don't like the dumbing-down, and the "one drive then sent off" rules is crap imo.

Less walkover games - I feel "dirty" in the MBBL when I can challenge a team 100TV+ above me and I'm competative. Being given Stars, Mercs etc feels wrong to me, I'm not playing my team, I'm coaching a powergamers min/maxing wet dream. Of course, my view is somewhat coloured by the fact my league isn't a huge open affair, so our TR's are all around the same point (about 50TR difference from smallest to largest), but in all the leagues I've played in, I've always taken responsibibly if I've challenged up. If I'm brave enough to challenge a team 50TR+ ahead of me, I'll willing to take the consequences. Doesn't feel like that for me in PBBL. (On a side note, we had a houserule in place that if the overdog challenged a team 25TR or more below it, the challenge could be declined for no penalty, which meant no cherrypicking, so no need for "evening up".)

Cards - can't comment because I've not used them enough (the irony:roll:). I'd lke to try them out in a card-only league, but my gut feeling is if we didn't have a 3-tier table we were happy with, I could import the cards into our LRB 4-based league.

Crap skills - I don't like th enerfing we've had of the PBBL skills, just to remove traits. IMO Traits were a much better system than we have now. It was much better imo to have some skills unattainable to some players.
Now my poor Norse Blitzers get a skill that is going to leave them in a nasty position 1 (2?) in 6 times, just because we had to nerf it because Mummies etc got access to it (for example).

Overall, I've played as many games of LRB at the same time as I've been playing PBBL, and I've enjoyed the LRB games more (to the point if I've got limited times to play my PBeM games, I'm opening the LRB files first).

I could go on, but as you said, this isn't the thread for it, and I'm late for work!

thanks for the input, guys, although you sure haven´t made my decision easier  I suppose I will use a mixture of both rulesets, mostly LBR but with some of the things I like about PBBL added in, for the time being anyway.

I liked a lot of the PBBL ammendments to the LRB, as breaking foul appeareance in two separate skills, adding new teams and correcting old ones, but dislike the return to the double=expulsion when fouling.
The IGMEOY was a rule that keeps things fair agains foul heavy coaches, and that balanced the game pretty much.
But as in everything there are lots of opinions, mainly that the double=expulsion is easier to understand and to remember.
