Skill devopment on vampires
First season with vampires and I have to say some weeks, I love them and other weeks I spend the whole game pulling my hair out. Its an intriguing team. This is LRB4 btw.
I have just gotten second doubles on a vamp. This is his third skill up, first was pro, second was doubles, got jump up. Don't want to throw away a double, but block or dodge is looking tasty.
Any insights would be appreciated.

Yeah, when I first started this team I envisioned 6 vamps 6 4 4 8 with blodge and then one developed as a cage breaker, one as a dedicated ball handler then 4 as all around badasses.
Not working out exactly as I wanted, but its good. I win about 50% of my games. And the games I lose, I wind up either killing thralls or failing bloodlust at the wrong time with the ball, no rerolls and no thralls nearby. I've learned to shadow every vamp with a thrall and move thralls where I need my vamps to go before I move the vamps.
And I've learned that having 6 vamps on the field isnt' the best setup. 4 vamps and 7 thralls on the field is good. Sometimes 5 vamps, but I haven't had all 6 vamps on the field since end of last season when I was down to 5 thralls.
Overall I like the vampire team. Its more about the thralls than vamps I've discovered. I'm even considering restarting after this next season to start with 3 or 4 rerolls. I currently have 2 rerolls. Stupid of me to start with 1 reroll. Either that or play dark elves as we are going to pbbl and dark elves are my favorite team. They look juicy in pbbl.

Oh you're so close to the Vampire team catchphrase.kharnagex wrote:Its more about the thralls.

"It's all about the thralls."
My Vampire team is 4 Vampires 11 Thralls (1 Space for Star players when I get them) and I absolutely love the thralls. There's no player (apart from 'flings) who's quite so obviously outclassed on the pitch.
And I love an underdog.
