don't get me wrong... a MA5AG3 player with B,T,TS is great, but he'd be better off with Guard+MB, or even better with two doubles rolled instead.
Oh, that comment was meant only for the runner position.

I dislike my LBs to get advances on MV and AG because I tend to forget it in the heat of the game. They're better off as lumbering beer barrels who run down the opponents defence. Running very slowly, indeed ;)

I should note that old Mephisto plays in the B.O.B.B.A. league - under a somewhat esoteric rule-system. As such, he effectively counts a healthy 25 points on my team rating.

His actual value is, not surprisingly, far greater.

It should also be noted that he has played 60+ matches.

His teammate, Baal, is beginning to get his act together, though:

MA 6 ST 5 AG 3 AV 10*
* Magic helmet
Block

This one started with a +1 MA increase. Doh. His future didn't look too bright. Then his Strength went up to 5! Now, he's a star in the making.

My most successful player is DESS SOAN, an orc blitzer of the marvelous orcteam THE GOODFELLAS.

At the moment he has 3 skills: Block/Stand firm/Teamleader

He's the heart of his team and one of it's best scorers.

why my witch elf rules!

read em and weep
witch elf lotus. 7 4 5 8. Block, dodge, frenzy, jump up, leap, side step, magic helmet

5 completions, 25 touchdowns, 10 casualties with five kills for 150 sp's

my favourite thing about this player? the model seems to be blessed - if i blitz a large monster in the open with no assists (ie. 2 dice against) this witch elf invariable rolls a natural kill. she roolz!

This is very nice, I play a human team with a very useful and productive ally wood elf thrower. He developed quite well and is a TD-machine as well as a great thrower, the strength upgrade helps a lot to keep anoying blitzers away and the two movement upgrades make him very very mobile!

After 15 matches he scored 25 comp and 12 TD's. making a total of 61 SPP.

Loren Eagle-eye 9-4-4-7 Pass, Accurate.

And the best thing is he just refuses to get injured or die!

Decayed Dave, Zombie lineman for the Tomb Terrors , 4 3 2 8 , Frenzy, Regenerate, Block, Mighty Blow and Dauntless :P

He was given frenzy as his first skill as a bit of a laugh, but started accumulating MVP's and casualties. He's not a laughing stock any more, actually a bit of a cult figure now, killed two high elves in my last game (against a good team as well, tr 300ish !).

Best one 4 me would have to be Painted Beastie (yeah, crap name, i know) on my Beatman team last league

6 4 3 8 Horns, Block, Break Tackle, Dodge, Sure Hands 57 SPP's

Can't remember SPP breakdown atm, but he won the BB player's award (most TD's in the season) AND the Spike player's award (most SPPs), in a league that featured Dark Elves and Lizardmen.

My most favored player every was a chaos beastman with:

6339
Regeneration
Magic Helmet
Dirty Player
Foul Apperance

He had well over 30 injuries, mostly through fouling and he never ever finished a single match. He actually never finished the first half. :smoking:

My favorite player/s...

Post by Jiriki13 »

I actually have two from the same team. My dwarf team of the Mountainside Manglers had my two most favorite players, a dwarf blitzer and dwarf runner. They became my favorites because every other team in the league, 9 teams in all, were gunning for them every time they were on the pitch. For the blitzer that meant all the time and the runner was actually on the field quite a bit too. My compatriots in the league said that my dwarf team was the first they had seen that actually played a quick strike type offense. Unfortunately, this is the last season I am playing the Manglers becuase I just need a change. I also have been unfortunate to lose Clangeggin Silverbeard, my star dwarf blitzer in the Chaos Cup tournament this year. This is why these two players became very feared throughout my league. I also could mention my other blitzer with ST4, but he was not as feared as these two.
Clangeddin Silverbeard 6 3 5 9 block, thick skull, mighty blow, +1MV, +1AG, +1AG / 55 SPPs
Dugmaren Brightmantle 7 3 4 8 sure hands, thick skull, +1AG, pass, block, +1 MV / 62 SPPs

As you can see I have rolled alot of ability upgrades this season, though the +1AG for Dugmaren was from the first season. I have played this team for two of our seasons, approximately 31 games total. This season I have had 7 ability upgrade rolls on skill rolls, 3 ST, 2 AG, and 2 MV. The only upgrade that was rolled last season was the +1AG for Dugmaren, his first skill roll. I did pretty well with this team making the BB championship game both seasons, but lost both times to the same guy. Both games went into the last 3 turns of overtime and I just came out short both times. Both games ended 2-1. The Mountainside Manglers will be officially retired after our Dungeon Bowl Tournament this year. I will be trying my hand at wood elves next season. Talk about switching from one extreme to the other.

My favourite player in Poison Wynd was probably the Gutter Runner Sevengrain Bleed:

9 2 5 8
Dodge, Block, Side Step, Strip Ball, Leap, Dauntless, Horns

270+ SPPs if I remember correctly.

And not even the best Gutter Runner on the team, either!
