yes, presumably they get to keep all skills on their statline, plus 6 more. that's why the witch would be so nasty... if block, dodge, frenzy, jump up. On a tr100 team. YIKES! And yes, in LRB5, there's no reason she couldn't take dauntless. But I think block is the better option.
Yeah, if they didn't get their starting skills, then blitzers would be far superior, they have the same basic statline as a witch +1 AV for 10k LESS!! There'd be no reason to take the witch elf at all.

Night Dragon. This is LRB 5.0 and daunltess would be a general skill. A Witch Could take it, and it would not be a bad choice, if there were going to be strength teams out there. Wrestle I just wondered about as in a tourney setting where she doesn't die or miss next game, (and DP should not be a largly taken skill) then a jump up wrestler with frenzy would be a serious defensive threat.NightDragon 2 wrote:Actually I meant dauntless, but realised that she would not be allowed it, then got confused as blitzers come with block, reread the 6 skill rule and forgot about the witch. So I am confused. If you have only 6 skills do they start with nothing? If so I would give the witch frenzy. If they come with their starting skills then block or even dodge and I was considering pass block, but with mainly hard teams decided against this.
Also, I believe the 6 skills is in addition to all normal players who get thier starting skills too. So a Frenzy Jump Up witch elf could take Dauntless and be ok.

Yes, go for Dark Elves. There are already enough Orcs/Dwarves. If I win the TBB Legacy team, I will also play Dark Elves. In case I don't win (which is very probableJeremiah Kool wrote:@Mootaz: It´s for Bamberg (I´m still undecided if I play Dark Elves or my usual Dwarves). There are a lot of Orc teams so Dauntless could be great. So maybe I do it this way:

That would be a weird tourny if the players wouldn´t have their normal skills...
Of course, it´s not that way.
@Mootaz: Wow, you have a shot a winning the Legacy team? Good luck for that. And this tourny needs more Dark Elf teams if you ask me, not smelly Mummies without Block.
Having played a lot with Dwarves I know how good Frenzy is. But there are really a lot of Strength teams in this tournament. A Troll Slayer can manage against Black Orcs and other STR4+ players and Dwarf teams also have a lot of Guard to support that. Witches have it harder in this department. Can they really push those brutes around? I could give them Dauntless but then they are easier to take down and unreliable without Block. Blitzers seems "safer" in this environment But it´s still so tempting to field one or two of them.
Yeah, with LRB5 DEs and other teams have some really nice options. That´s a good thing.

even on "strength" teams, orcs, dwarves, chaos etc etc, most of the players are St3. A witch elf with block is still scary. obviously dauntless is a great 2nd skill in that environment, but she can still do plenty of damage without it. you just have to be cognizant of the frenzy and don't set yourself up for dis-advantageous 2nd blocks, usually not that difficult.
