different apothecaries
i don't know if someone propose this thing before me, if someone did i'm sorry.
why all teams have the same cost for apo?
now i'm explain: orc team with full roster(16 players without star) has an average av of 8.9, a wood elf team full roster has an average av of 7. do you think that orc team must pay more than 50k an apo?
i think that it will be a great thing and can be help light team

Only works if you give them different abilities to mend specialist injuries but I think it just over complicates things! Sorry!

i know there was a citadel journal article a LONG time ago, a good 6 or 7 years at least i'd guess, where someone suggested giving every race different apothecaries with different abilities.
i remember it being really really unbalanced and we immediately threw it out, but you might want to look at that as a base if you can find it. i'd bet SOMEONE here knows which CJ that was and may even have the article where they could give some better detail than i could.

I assume you're trying to balance out injury rates across teams. I saw an idea from someone (can't remember who - sorry) about having different success rates for apoths for different AVs or teams.
You would have to change the mechanic again from LRB5 though as it would be hard to have different chances of success under the re-roll casulty system.
I think it's a reasonable idea, i've noticed that my Dwarf and Orc teams often have a lot of spare cash because they start with most of the team they need and rarely lose players.

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".

isn't longevity supposed to be one of the advantages of having a team with good av? why would you want to screw with that?
on the other side of the coin, if you're worried about your fragile players dying too much, instead of changing what the apoth does, perhaps you should buy another...you can have the inducement that allows you to have up to 3 per game.
