Ok, thanks. Those PO numbers are no good for me then, most of the time I would only reroll an injury roll that resulted in a stun. I'd hate to turn a KO into a Stun or even worse go prone without breaking armour.
But looking at your calculations now I can see my workings out are correct, so I already have the data I need.
I rolled a double to my MB/block werewolf and i need to decide between juggernaut and PO for 3rd skill, but the rerolled 48% MB injury (which means i breaked AV without MB) sounds too good not to pick PO. 4th skill will be jump up and my puppie will be unstoppable
Thx for the info.
yepp..shoulda gone with juggernaut. since he already has claws, piling on won't have as much punch, and you'll just be giving your opponents a yummy foul target every time you pile on.
you're going to get your cas without piling on, juggernaut would have made him an absolute terror on the field.
i put the over/under on his life expectancy now at about 4 games. good luck!

Obviously Piling on leaves you prone to fouling - but what about in an Ogre team - the Ogres are still armour 9 and have thick skull. My Ogre team currently has all 6 ogres as follows:
I have been debating between going Break Tackle / Jugernaut or Break Tackle / Piling on as a 2nd skill choice (obviously block on doubles).
While the PO does leave you more vulnerable, combined with Mighty Blow it almost guarentees removing the opponent of the pitch. Is PO worth in the case of Ogres?
I've made my own excell table for counting this with my rules in mind so I have a bit different numbers, but MB is better to PO just because it has no sideeffects.
Here is example: When rolling 2 dice attacker choose and def don't have block nor dodge.
some examples: casuality at least KO
block vs AV 7 5.21% 13.02%
block vs AV 7 with mighty blow 10.76% 23.44%
block vs AV 7 with claws 5.21% 13.02%
block vs AV 7 with piling on 12.59% 28.21%
Sorry if this has come up before but I didn't spot it anywhere. Something that's not too clear (to me at least) Does piling on still count as part of the block/blitz action with regards to scoring SPPs from the resulting casualty?

Casualties (CAS): If a player causes an opposing player to be removed as a Casualty then they earn 2 Star Player points. The pointes are only earned if the player blocks an opponent or is blocked by an opponent himself. Casualties inflicted in any other way (including injuries inflicted by the corwd or from attacks with chainsaws, bombs or the Stab skill) do not count for Star Player points.
Piling On (Strength): The player may use this skill after he has made a block as part of his Block or Blitz Actions, but only if the Piling On player is currently standing adjacent to the victim and the victim was Knocked Down. You may re-roll the Armour roll or Injury roll for the victim. The Piling On yada yada...
Seems to me that the piling on skill is used after a block has been resolved but also as a skill reroll. Am I right to assume that it should be looked at in the same way as say rerolling a catch to earn a pass SPP or is it completely different to the block/blitz action and essentially a free foul? I can see both sides of this but would rather hear the definative version.
