With the change to dauntless (being STR + d6 instead of 2d6 to beat the strenght), horns still helps it out.

Say your str 3 beast is blitzing a str 5 Ogre. With horns, he only has to roll a 2+ on his dauntless roll to get a 1db.

Granted, the combo is not as great as it was in LRB4..but it was pretty overpowered there.

Yeah it was a welcome change for the gutter runners to get nerfed a little with that.........a mv 9 guy that could get a 2d block on pretty much anyone is kind of overpowered........Unfortunately in the process it nerfed the chaos team too, which I dont think it needed. It got access to 1st skill mutations, but a lot of those got nerfed too (rightly so), so there isnt really a mutation that is worth taking b4 the bread and butter skills.... In my one off games, I find myself taking the Nurgle team when I want to play a chaos team, they are a lot more fun, their key guys all regen, and rolling 2 sets of dice on the casualty chart for the rotters is awesome!!!!Bring back the days where the elves were shaking in their pointy little boots everytime they had to play a chaos team.....

BLOOD BLOOD AND MORE BLOOD!!!!!!!

(Just musing - not suggesting a change)

With the change to Dauntless (and perhaps the addition of "if you roll a 1, the skill fails" if it's not there already), could horns be moved back to after the Dauntless roll?

No thanks :D

If Horns really needed something than I'd make it so that Horns when used on a blitz and you moved at least one square first it allowed you to add +1 ST to the block and to re-roll the block dice for the first block the player throws that turn.

This would help offset the Chaos team not starting with Block on any players.

For me this sounds as if you don't know how decay works. It's when the Rotters get injured, they have to roll twice, not when they injure someone else. So what is awesome about that?

I'd have less issues with the beastmen in the Chaos side if this was implimented. They'd be worth the 60K you pay (plus I'd be tempted to field the side in tournaments)

I know how decay works!!! I just love blood in bloodbowl, even if it is my own!!! I like the mayhem, goblins secret weapons go awry killing their own players, riots, throw a rock, pitch invasions, etc!!!!! I think it adds flavor to the game.... Thrud being forced into retirement made me very sad, less mayhem.....If I wanted to play bloodless football, I would play electric football!!!

I just like the whole concept of the nurgle team.....I used to play a lot of chaos, and the beastmen would die a lot right when I got them skilled. Now with the nurgle team, I get cheap line fodder, beastmen and chaos warriors that regen, and a big guy that is as good or better than the troll they took away from the chaos roster. I like the mino a lot, but he is AV 8, and I find myself protecting him more than I want to. The troll you could just throw on the line and not worry so much about him. It is never good to have double the chance of dying, but with all the other stuff the nurgle roster offers, I think it is well worth it!!!!!!!!! I wish they would jazz up the chaos roster a bit, my regular chaos guys have a layer of dust on them now.......... Suprisingly enough with the love of violence, I rarely foul.......

Thanks to all you playtesters out there that came up with the Nurgle team, i really enjoy them!!!!!!

If Chaos (and Horns) needs a boost .... I'll keep this suggestion in mind for next October.

Next October the BBRC is supposed to met to discuss the changes to be suggested for October 2008. JJ has said that he doesn't want the BBRC voting anything in as official unless it has been experimental for a year to get appropriate feedback.

LRB 5.0 will be official until at least November 2008. Don't worry ... nothing is changing that.

It's a very admirable goal. But the choice of October doesn't really give the general population a lot of time to provide feedback for consideration in 2008. I mean I've been playing LRB5 since before it's release date and I still have half formed concerns that I'd like to bring up (but not before I've tried to quash them by changing play styles to see if the fault is with me.)

Perhaps the final date for consideration of suggestions for Oct 2008 changes could be extended a couple of months, then switch to the October plan completely in 2008 onwards.
