not wanting to sound negative but which team uses pumpkin heads? :-?
Nicely painted rackham minis and quite cute in a total non-BB sense :)

Damn... give it a friggin' rest already!

The forums were split a long time ago to separate BB figures from non-BB figures for just this reason. And look what happened: CF posted about non-BB figs in the *gasp* non-BB fig section! Sure, they may be talking BB about them, but everyone recognizes that these aren't really BB figs and that's why they're not where the BB figs are.

If Rackham dwarves are in the BB section and you don't like them for BB, fine; complain all you want. But if it's in the non-BB section, leave it the hell alone!

Besides, to actually address your question, I think CF pointing out alternate Necro, a fit with the Deadlings, and the unofficial roster in Tom's crazy league (that's the Witches of Selene, right?) are all fair answers.

Yep, spot on Lahatiel. Tbh, if I had the money (and inclination to bother painting) I'd have a necro team (probably without any BB figs) with Pumkinheads either as Wights or Zombies (depending on how many I decided to get).

I'm personally not a big fan of the pumpkin heads but if you want some more for conversions etc look here.

The little ones without faces make good reroll counters (hint for the paintoff  ).

A small wolf (?) with a pumpkin. Maybe the turn/score counter. And the one on the right is excellent for a Halfling or Deadling team.

And I also found an interesting pic of a real pumpkin.

I'd like to do some pumpkin heads for Wights for you.

And then make some Ghosts to use as Zombie linemen.

If you wanted to have a fun Necro team with a Halloween flavour ... I'd go with

Frankenstein's Monster
Werewolf
Pumpkinheads (as Wights)
Witches (as Ghouls)
Ghosts (for the Zombies)

That to me could be a fun looking and festive team.

I'll take some pics of the team soon. It works quite well as a necro team.

I had a reply typed then though "why bother" when faced with that kind of attitude. JohnnyP needs to write into the code of conduct - "If you disagree with something on TBB then don't post it, just take it as read that you are wrong and deserve abuse for it".

Or of course perhaps we should just write in it the code of conduct "if you don't like models that don' specifically mention BB or FF, don't post in the "Other models" section".

Exactly.

@Indigo: I, too, just typed up a long reply I which I then thought better of posting... so I guess we're even on that point. ;) I probably should have done that the first time around, too, so let me try rephrasing myself a little bit. If you'll indulge me, please replace my original post above with the following:

Indigo wrote:not wanting to sound negative but which team uses pumpkin heads? :-?
This is the "Other Miniatures" section, where we can show figures that have no intrinsic BB value (regardless of whether or not some of us still engage in BB speculation about them, anyway! ;) ). When we play by the rules and put non-BB miniatures in the non-BB section where they belong, could you please return the favor by not cluttering up this section with statements of the obvious, i.e., questioning the BB value of figures that were already designated as "no BB value" by their specific inclusion in this particular forum?
------

Better?

Not really.

@ Darkson: IN THEORY I'm entirely entitled to come in here and state whether or not I like a given model whether it's BB or not.

@Lahatiel: I am also entitled IN THEORY to come in here and when I see people say "ooh this could fit in with my xxxxx team" ask why they think it would. In the case of these pumpkins and necros, I can MAYBE see the point of one as a RR counter or something but even that is slightly contrived. But making an entire team out of them? That's stupid. It's seeing nice models and then trying to find some kind of convoluted way to fit them into a BB team. Each to his own though, if you think a model can fit into a team then say so, but I expect to have the right to question why. Supposedly.

It's like someone posting a really nice picture of a new space marine then saying "this will look great in my team". When chances are it won't, the person simply likes the model and all it would do is cause confusion.

Why can't I say that I either don't like a model or think someone's suggestion for using said model in a BB team would be ill advised for x/y/z reasons?

It's not being grumpy, it's wanting to offer an opinion when people have requested it without necessarily just saying "looks great, use it!".

Why is using a Pumpkinhead as a Zombie or Wight "stupid"? just saying it's stupid is hardly asking how it can fit in a team. I've explained how I'd fit it in a Necro (or Undead) team, as has Galak. I've yet to see you post any reason why it's "stupid". Personally, I find some of these figs (the Westwind in particular) better for BB than some BB/FF models.

Let me put a little perspective on why I posted these particular figs. A few years ago when I joined TBB I posted a link looking for Pumpkin figs and found that some people here had similar teams. There was one in particular, the Witches of Selene, or something similar, and for the life of me I wish that I could find that thread or remember who it was. So armed with the knowledge that their are people who have an interest in pumpkin headed figs, I posted the new Rackham figs. They make great Score counters, etc., especially for an already made Pumpkin headed necro team.

Its not that so much. It's that when you type something, you usually come off sounding like, well, a dick. Its a consistent thing. But some people around here seem to like you so I'm guessing you're a move appealing person online than off. But online you seem to radiate nastiness. Theres one or two in every crowd and you're one of the people in TBB that rains on every body else's parade. You're not even the worst. No big deal. I always take you with a big grain of salt. No offense.

Heres the NBA legacy team from a few years ago that I was fortunate enough to win. I submited a pumkin headed zombie, upper right. I think it works fine as a Necro fig.

Since the Witches of Selene team for Blood Bowl
has been mentioned twice ... figured I should like
to it for those that have no idea what the heck is
being talked about.

This has been an official team in the MBBL2 league
for several years.
