I realised that the youth hostel Arena (in Oosterpark) is within walking distance of the venue and not very far from the city center (it is somewhere in between). If people want to do the same thing as last year (book as one big group in a hostel). I can stop by and ask what deal can be arranged.. The only problem is that I cannot do the finances, but maybe the NAF can arrange for something (again, like last year?)

Joris that sounds sensible. If you could check out what the deal is then we can book up rooms like last year

Well I checked and found out that Hotel Arena is no longer a youth hostel but now is a 3 star hotel. Price for a double room is 85 euro per night per room. But a deal might be negotiated. I cannot remember what the hostel costed last year. But I imagine this price is a little bit to steep for some.
WHat do you think..

€85 per night?

I think i'll go for the steep option.

As an aside, scotland may be coming, namely me, Ewan, and Ithilkir.
If anyone would be willing to share a car with us, it might actually be cheaper to drive over. (No Draco, you've already used that joke some where else. )

per *room* for a double, so it is 42.50 euros per person for a night
And they will give a discount on top of it.
But yes, still sound steep to me

Well if they have a pull out bed , we could always sneak in a third person.

Is it being held in the same location?

Tournament is in the same location as last year.
The hotel is a different one. This time it is in Oosterpark instead of Vondelpark. Within walking distance (15 minutes) from the venue.

Because I have decided to scale down my involvement with BloodBowl I am stepping down as the organiser of the Dutch Open. I am sure Niels and Lucy will find somebody else to organise the tournament or do it themselves. Everybody that has any enquiries concerning the DO should direct these to them.

Niels, Edwin en Lucy will take over.
Wanna thank Yavatol for all the work he's done and for the excellent DO he organised last year.
If people have suggestions, remarks etc, please spit them out.
A tool for registration will come soon. I'll notify people in a different thread.

Yavatol, even if you're scaling down your involvement, I still hope to see you at the Dutch Open.
