DE runners start with Dump -off don't they?
Which means you are really talking about the 2nd skill....
Father911 I believe has really looked into this. If I recall correctly he wants a Dump -off NOS wrestle DE ... I'd have to look for the old thread to remember what the 3rd skill in the combo was and what order.
I like NOS with dump off as it ensures the -1 for tz from the blitzer is cancelled and thus leaves you funbling only on 1s.. (And if he brings assist friends, they don't count towards fumbles too.)
I don't play DE though so I don't have any practical knowledge. and none of my Wood Elf throwers have stayed off the LOS long enough to earn any skill combinations.

Yes, DE Runners start with Dump-Off. So you only need one skill to get NoS.
Wrestle? So you can bring the blitzer down so that he can't go put a TZ on the catcher? Interesting idea. I'd like to know how that's working-out.
I could see fend as the next skill, but it is not really a combo with NoS and Dump-Off.
With Safe-Throw, you can pass over-top of the blitzer and assists with minimal risk of interceptions.

Ok, so won game 2; 2-0 versus Lizards, it was close when he broke with a skink and got to within 4 squares of the end zone and I could reach him with only my Tackle-less Thrower (who had to GFI twice to get the blitz in) luckily a double POW saw the iguana stunned and the ball loose.
Next turn saw no real movement towards the ball from my opponent so a quick pass / hand off combo saw a TD by a berserker.
and then I had 2 players sent off in successive turns to get a stun on his Krox from fouls.
So 2 skills (normal rolls) for my team, gave Mighty Blow to the Berserker and Leader to the Thrower. also bought an apoth finally....

Norse Rerolls cost 120k after start so a 100k TV saving by taking leader.Mad Jackal wrote:I can't argue against getting a 3rd re-roll which would cost 100k and TV value at 50k for only 20 in TV at the cost of a skill on a player you don't use much...It is a solid skill choice.
But if you liked sending the thrower deep into the other half and having lots of options, kick off return would be good to have too. It will provide you with more options at set up and possible give him +3 move to keep up with your runners and more foreward blitzers.
I think when my throwers develop I'll be taking one with Leader then Sure hands and accurate, and the other with kick off return and maybe NOS + dump off.
I am prtetty sure I will follow the NOS, Dump Off route for Thrower 2 when i get around to buying him, another reroll and both Ulf's will come first though
