Great, as i thought, just wanted to check.
Ok, I have another and I think it belongs here. (BTW...shouldn't a MOD change the title of this forum? There are no traits anymore....)
A Wolf (Necro) is 3 sq away from the sideline. As the DE player, I have, I have to say, a nice squad with 2 WE's and a standfirm dodge blitzer. WW rolls 2D at said blitzer (assist) and announce that I will not use SF and as the roll was dodge/dodge on the dice, I go back. He has frenzy. Dan (oppo) now sees what I am doing here, and he has to throw a 1D block to my now on the sideline blitzer. It was a push I think and I now elect to use SF.
Was I right to do this? I did it because when I saw the double dodge come up I knew I could "lure" the wolf within 2 sqs (and I did) of the sideline as he has frenzy. My WE prompty came in next turn and blitzed wolf off the pitch. Dan's view was "I wouldnt have done that if you werent going to use stand firm" but that is my priority.
What I am doubtful about is having chosen not use the skill on the first block, should I then decide to use it on the second? I see no reason why not but I would, that was my idea.

Perfectly legal and well played on top of that.Lycos wrote:What I am doubtful about is having chosen not use the skill on the first block, should I then decide to use it on the second? I see no reason why not but I would, that was my idea.
And your opponent now knows the risks of using Frenzy better.

Fouling is dumb now. I don't like it at all. Why couldn't we keep the Ref roll, change it to a 4+ and change the assists from a +1 to the Armor roll to a -1 on the Ref roll and keep Argue the call.
I know, JJ. Still, this is just goofy. You should want to break the amror, not fear it.

Uh ... Steve we couldn't change it to what you just wrote because that would have effectively removed fouling from the game or made it way to easy to get away with depending on which way you meant -1 to the Ref roll.Snew wrote:Fouling is dumb now. The only reason I'm responding to this is because you make it sound like the solution was so easy and here is the right answer and there is no way that solution would work for the game.

Agreed. Oddly enough, I find myself fouling alot more in LRB5. Maybe it's because the loss of the pre-game niggle roll and the aging system makes player damage/death easier to stomach in general?juggler434 wrote:I like where fouling has gone. It makes a player really weigh the cost/rewards of every foul.
In LRB4, I used to only foul when it would directly affect a TD chance, because that ruleset pretty much condemned a team that suffered heavy casualties to retirement. It's not that I'm a nice guy, I just don't want to be boycotted in league-play due to being a team-killer (hence, I'm not sure I'll ever field a Khemri side )
