Dead rising

Post by zephard »

Question since I didn't see it in the rules.

When the Necro cast his spell or the dead guy has gotten Nurgles Rot and becomes a Rotter, do they get new stats of the Zombie and Rotter or they keep their old stats, since it says not a creature with str above 4?

Say I kill a black orc does the new player get str 4?

Basic stat lines. You get a rookie Zombie or Rotter.

Side note question: So if Nurgle plays Necro and a rotter dies, can he then become a zombie... or vice versa.

That would be strange. You killed my rotter. ...Next drive... You killed my zombie that was your rotter... Ewww Nasty creature.

It's clearly spelled out in the descriptions of the effects. You could have probably looked it up quicker than typing your question here.

Regeneration only works on players that don't have Regeneration or Stunty.

less that does not have Regeneration or Stunty is killed during
the match (after Apothecary attempt if any)
The Rotter also adds Decay to that list

the Decay, Regeneration or Stunty skills.

Snew has it right. A Rotter can be killed and turned into a Zombie .. but a Zombie or a Rotter cannot become another Rotter. So the players cannot cycle back and forth between the two states.

Rotters are post match. Zombies can even raise your roster above 16 players for the match.

so the coach can use the extra players but only for the match they were created in?

No.

Zombies are added immediately (ie they can take the field the next drive) and permanently to your team from the Raise Dead spell but you only get one per a game.

Rotters are added permantently to your team but they do so during the post game, but the upside is that you can get as many as you killed.

So Rotters have no limit but come in at end of game.
Zombies are limit of one but can come in next drive.

To further clarify, here's the part of the rule book I was referring to.
LRB5.0 pg 17 wrote:(this may cause a team to have more than 16
players for the remainder of the match). During Step 5 of
Updating Your Team Roster (see page 29), you may add this
player to your roster for free if you have less than 16 players on
the team. A free Zombie still counts at full value towards the
team value.
Of course, if you had 17 players for the match you'd have to let one go to keep the raised Zombie.

It made me do a double take as well. ;)
I'm assuming Snew meant:
