I think the flings need a boost. But I would like to have a better solution like offered here. Maybe add some catchers for the flings. Or something simular but give them accurate is not a good idea.
The same is for goblins. Why a goblin should only cost 30k. Compare it to the snotling for instance. Why are you considering these changes?

I don't think they need a boost at all. Don't forget, these teams are not supposed to strong. Only fun.
Halflings can induce a chef and freeboot Deeproot, so they are not that week. The secret weapons allready gave the Goblins a boost.
Leave them as they are. Fun to play and sure to be somewhere around the last places of the league!

I played flings in LRB 4 and LRB 5. Perhaps it belongs to my lousy dices but in LRB 5 they were no fun to play. I don't mind losing games with flings. But I would like to score some TDs and grab some cas and I'm fine. But under LRB 5 the flings didn't manage a cas or TD so it was no fun to play them. And I think the cas rate is increased in LRB 5 and that doesn't help the flings.
I don't think the flings need some wood elfs or some dryads. They should only play with flings. So you can add a new positional player and all should be fine.
BTW. I think the Goblins and the flings were at the same level in LRB 4 but in LRB 5 the Gobbos are much better because the can have 4 additinal players on their roster. They play only one drive but with bribes they can play longer.

That sounds about right. With the re-roll stealing moved to the inducement section, the strongest weapon in the Flings arsenal has been slightly weakened while the gobs get a whole range of ACME gadgets to use. I'm not sure Flings are off much worse, but there are a few things. Deeproot is now also a loner, just like the other trees. TTM is different. They are all small changes and none in the flings favour. Except for the removal of Big Guy from the trees. Maybe a bananapeeler on the roster:dendron wrote:BTW. Bananapeeler: 5 2 3 6 Doge, Stunty, Right Stuff, Accurate, Bananas
Bananas: This player is hooked on bananas. He will throw the skins away during the game. To throw a banana skin declare a pass. The player can make a quick or short pass with a bananaskin. If it lands on a square occupied by a player he will have a -1 on his dodge roll the next turn. When the pass is fumbled the bananapeeler suffers the -1 on the dodge roll. Bananas are considered by some to be secret weapons but no refs are known to treat them as such. They are more likely to send Flings off for smelling too delicious, or in the case of troll refereree Et Hogul eat them for it. The bananaskin cannot be intercepted or caught.

I don't think any of these suggestions help. Both teams are Ok in my book. Theres far more work that needs to be done on other teams first...Namely:
Too many elf teams
Too many Undead teams
Amazons...again
Just as a start!!
