can you hail mary a bomb ??

In the skill rules for bombardier

The bomb is thrown using the rules for throwing a ball

and in the Hail mary pass skill it makes certain omissions eg. cant be used ith TTM but doesnt say anything about bombardier

hail mary says "the player may throw the ball to any square"

doesn't say bomb ;o


just playing devils advocate, i'd say its unclear either way

previously any skill that mentioned throwing the ball didn't apply for throw team mate, only ones that said they affect passing did

Bombardier
A coach may choose to have a Bombardier who is not Prone or Stunned throw a bomb instead of taking any other Action with the player. This does not use the team's Pass Action for the turn. The bomb is thrown using the rules for throwing the ball (including weather effects), except that the player may not move or stand up before throwing it (he needs time to light the fuse!). Fumbled and intercepted bomb passes are not turnovers. All skills that may be used when a ball is thrown may be used when a bomb is thrown also. ...

LRB 5.0 specifically says you may use all skills that may be used when throwing a ball so yes you may use Hail Mary Pass with a bomb.
