Would Nippon work for THIS concept?

Maybe
1-16 linemen 7 3 3 8 G
0-4 Ballmen 7 3 3 8 sure hands PAG
0-2 Sumo 5 4 3 8 stand firm or Fend?
0-2 Blitzers 7 3 3 8 Block

0-0 Ninja 8 4 4 8 Blodge, stab mighty Blow and multiblock

You put a ninja in the listing, so unless that 0-0 is intentional. No.

It was a carfully considered position, ALL details of which were carefully proof-read (unlike most of my posts...) :D

Make Ninja a Star Player
Give the Rikishi Fend, rather than Stand Firm. I like that you gave him 5 MA, most do not realize how mobile those guys are.

I'd quite like the ninja to remain a 0-0 choice, he could even get fend if he wants to.

My Fend vote was for what was labelled "Sumo", though a sport getting a skill is hard for me to conceive.

On the topic at hand, what Skaven Clan are responsible for storm vermin?
I thought it was clan Mors, or at least they had the most of them. But I havn't read WFB fluff in a long time.

So a Clan Mores team could have
1-16 linevermin 8 3 3 7 GM 60K
0-4 Runners 7 3 3 7 sure hands GAPM 80K?
0-2 Blitzers 8 3 3 7 Block SGM 90K
0-2 Defenders 8 3 3 8 G 90K

0-1 Rat Ogre

I thought the Defenders might be interesting to see what people would do with them. Only G access should stop them becomming the superstars the statline suggests they could, but they should be VERY handy players for some job or other!

I don't think Clan Mors would be speedy, but a close representation to your original design idea of 7338.

So the line vermin would be 7338 G. Not sure if 60K is an appropriate cost. One of those players where 65K would be fine if we have 5K prices.

I would give the team 4 blitzers and 4 runners, none of the defenders. And I would make the runners 8337 Sure hands GSP (they are clan Mors, warriors after all). 4 Blitzers as Clan Mors has the most storm vermin.

So

0-16 line vermin 7338 60K? G
0-4 Runner 8337 Sure Hands 80K GSP
0-4 Storm Vermin 7338 Block 90K GS

Maybe a rat ogre. Not sure. Those linemen seem pretty good.

Rerolls 60K

The entire team would have access to mutations on doubles only. Clan Moulder would get them as regular skills.

If you really wanted the defenders, I would reduce the runners by 2 and add 2 of them. I would go with a 6339 GS 70K stat line to represent heavily armoured storm vermin. I'm thinkig along a blocker role, perhaps you mean more as a sweeper.

I think this team has a good theme and sticks with your original 7338 statline desires. I think it is fairly well balanced, but it may be a bit on the strong side hence I wouldn't add the rat ogre.

I'm not attatched to the Defenders particularly, just an idea I put out there. I called them defenders visualising them as a nominal sweeper sort of roll but not very described as starters, so can have anything done with 'em but was curious what people would do with them.

Runners should have Agility not Str as they are the mobility in the team.

R'Ogre is a good "point" to use as a balancing element (in or out as testing demands) unless Mors are noteworthy for their use of them?

Clan Mors is a warlord clan, mainly fighters, i.e. storm vermin. To emphasise that, I gave the runners strength instead of agility. Also fits with the linemen (slightly better armoured). So you have a bashy speedy team.

I think Mors may have a lot of slaves as well, but I wouldn't use them as it doesn't fit the concept. I like the idea of a more ground pounding skaven team.

Each Skaven clan has its thing.

Clan Moulder = mutations and animal/monster training

Clan Skrye = warlocks and skaven tech

Clan Pestilens = plague

Clan Eshin = gutter runners and assassins

Clan Mors = warriors

The standard Skaven team kind of represents an all star team of skaven with Clan Mors, Eshin, and Moulder represented.

I'd give the linemen Str in preference to giving it to Runners!

Also one of the things I was wanting to do (from the initial post) was a combined thrower/catcher position, hence the Ag skills to get all access to all the "catcher" skills, like Catch!

A thrower with Str access... Now that is a concept to build a new team around...
