I guess I'm just different.... I went:

2 Weres
2 Golems
2 Wights
5 Zombies

2 RR
(20000 for FF/AC/CL/Treasury)

I won my first 9 games with this lineup though ymmv... and I replaced a wight and bought up to 4 RR before I backed down to three....

And, by the gods that aren't, the FG are taking forever to skill up... though Stand Firm is the greatest! even when down....

How do you go "Back down to 3" rerolls? I don't think you can LOSE rerolls, ever since we got rid of the special play cards.

Vomit Lickspittle thanks for that.

I will give it a go :)

Had my first two trail games last night, drew one and lost one (2 dodges and a long bomb, then he caught it, the lucky swine *laughs* ) but the game I lost cost him 3 cau's  :)

The fleshy was his bane, so might be enteraining to see two fleshys up :)

I'll try your idea tonight and then I'll decide on what I'll use for the "offical" start on Sunday :)

Thanks again.

Yes. You can get rid of them but you can't lose them involuntarily.

@datalorex
It killed his team. He had no chance with no rerolls.

Hiya.

Little progress report.

Got my bum handed to me by an experinced dwarf player, he used his humans instead and I lost 3-0 but what made my day was this.. "Your pretty good, how long you been playing" so imagine my joy when I said "I'm a noob" since this is a thread of my making, I have a strange question...

Do you find some metal minitures have a "life" of there own?
eg: Wight Number 4, has failed nearly every pick up the ball roll I've rolled, but... beats the snot out of anyone standing in front of him.

Wight number 3, picks up all the time, can dodge out and generally punches people in the face who get in the way (not as "hard" as number 4) and oddly enough he loves to pass :/ Am I weird in this?

On that note first game my fleshy got a skill increase (MVP + Cas) he knocked down everyone, but was prone to blocking players (So given him block now) the other fleshy had push nearly everytime against him and just stood there... :/

I'm I going mad? I mean its only a number but try as I might to use them for anything else, they pretty much in pysical imagery sit on the floor and throw a strop "not doing it" .... I'm worried how the werewolves will turn out, one wants to eat everything, the other wants to steamroll through players carrying the ball :/

:?:

Noctis (Is he going mad?)

Yes you are weird in this, but most of us are, and it's probably true! :o

You can also influence this by the way! Try it on one of your opponents:

Merely point to one of his players, and mention casually that 'No. 7, really can't block, now can he?', keep pointing this out whenever player 7 fails to knock down a player, and you will see him starting to fail more!

THE JINX CURSE!

my ogre team has a jinx/do no good curse when ever i dont use my spciel snot models...ungors with sawn off weapons and shields, and paint crazy ugly/odd...ie 100% screaming-irritating yellow with blue spots, or 100% black with white spots...green dudes with blue arms, and any thing alike...and the first game in wich i used them, ended as 3-0 against skaven, i bashed him so gooooodddd!, not to mention the 2-0 against norse...thouse models just "ANTI-JINXED" my team...! MUAHAHAHAH...
...and my last 3 games went quite bad, because i forgot the all black with white spots dude...

...i also got a pink dude with a green horn, he lookes so stupid hehehe

I've never played Necros so please ignore me if I'm wrong but I wanted to take issue with this - Dodge should be a great double for a Fleshy. Consider Block, Dodge, Stand Firm, St 4 - that would be a nightmare to play against. Then think about Block, Dodge, Stand Firm, ST 4 and Break Tackle - a player that dodges with Ag 4, has a re-roll and even if they fail doesn't fall over!

In LRB5.0 a player with Stand Firm is knocked down if he fails a dodge.

Man, thats rubbish. Blodge, Standfirm is still a good option for holding the LOS though.

Yeah, Al...I miss the old Stand Firm too. It was great with dwarves who took stand firm and guard. They expected to fail the dodge into 3 tz, but didn't care because they could still give assists all around.

I miss that, and I never played dwarves! :)

I do like LRB5, I really do, but I think over time we've overdone the trend of weakening some of the skills. And I think SF is one of them.
