Your woodie inducements look like you are going all out to win the game-fair enough, but you might end up with no team to go on with and those that are left probably won't have many SPPs, as I'd imagine the merc catchers would take most of them.
Personally I'd always have a tree with the woodies, especially as it looks as if he'll play bash with his hummies, he's one less elf on the LOS to get battered and he is the only player likely to knock down the ogre. And you might wanna consider a merc wardancer with either strip ball (likely to be negated by his sure hand throwers) or tackle (to take out his dangerous looking blitzer).
Wizard would be useful, can't comment on the chef, but I'm not 100% sure he's really worth it for non-halfling teams.

Actually
Morg
Jordell
Merc WD + Tackle
Merc Catcher + block
looks like a useful lineup
I will obviously try to score with no merc players, but really the win is the thing to test the true underdog chance.... the Human coach is no mug and will go out to hurt me. last time he played woodies he crushed them mercilessly and expects to replicate that.

Yeah I like your 2nd inducement list better than the first...I don't think the chef is worth it for non-hobbits.
I think I'd go for a Deeproot and a Morg if it were me. That's "only" 680k.
After that you could get 2 Babes, an extra Apothecary, and a Wizard if my math is right.

Oh! Holy crap! I never actually bothered to make sure he did. Why would wood elves only get 3 stars, and why let them have trees but no Deeproot?!
WAAAAGH!

Some teams only having 3 stars is a known inbalance that is going to be addressed in LRB 6.0. The test list for these stars can be found here...wesleytj wrote:Oh! Holy crap! These are the 3 stars added for the wood elves.
Willow Rosebark (150K) 5 4 3 8 Loner, Dauntless, Side Step, Thick Skull
Dolfar Longstride (170K) 7 3 4 7 Loner, Diving Catch, Hail Mary Pass, Kick, Kick-off Return, Pass Block
Zara the Slayer (270K) 6 4 3 8 Loner, Block, Dauntless, Dodge, Jump Up, Stab, Stakes
As for Deeproot not playing for the woodies, it was felt that both an on roster treeman and deeproot would be just too good for the wood elves. Given the choice of one or the other, the majority said they would rather have a permanent tree on roster than be able to get Deeproot now and then...

Huh?!? do you mean to imply that teams can only be balanced if they get the same number of stars? That's ludicrous. and the BBFC needs to be disbanded if they actually feel this way.Father911 wrote:

The imbalance comes from having more options to choose from. If you have 6 stars availiable you can find a better fit than if you only have 3 stars availiable.Snew wrote:Huh?!? do you mean to imply that teams can only be balanced if they get the same number of stars? Well sure, if those are the only 2 options, then sure, I'd MUCH prefer the rookie tree on the roster than Deeproot. I disagree with the assertion that both would be just too good. I mean, a Skaven team can have a rookie Rat Ogre and the Rat Ogre Star. The point is that Deeproot is a hugely expensive star that the wood elves would only be able to afford when they're a big underdog (because they don't tend to have money just lying around any other time, since they're expensive AND fragile). And I'd rather have Deeproot available than Morg. I just think it's silly.

Actually, JU basically turns a stun into a prone, so it's better to have JU with AV7 teams. If you don't go down, you can't use JU anyway! lolwesleytj wrote: I'm not saying Jump Up isn't good...my Witch elves love it too. But with AV7, if you go down, you often aren't getting right back up anyway.

Hi Guys, Thanks for staying with this thread, even now my Dark Elves are winning! Most of the time at least!
Well I played Dwarves recently, lets just say it wasn’t a very fun excerise, the final score was 0 – 0. That’s not just Nil in score, that’s nil in completions and castulies as well!!! FOR BOTH TEAMS. Yep nothing happened, any all, ever.
The reason I didn’t win was I burned my re-rolls on non-essential things early in both halves meaning when I had that anything but a 1 to score I was left hanging. Still live and learn!
I followed that nastiness up with another game versus the Norse, I was in control as I claimed a 3 -1 victory but this wasn’t without cost.
No.13 Blitzer MB and Dauntless - gained a niggling Inh
No.14 Blitzer Dodge, Guard and Sidestep – Gained a Niggling Inj
No.16 Assasain – Jump Up - gainged a Nig Inj
Yep 3 Nigs in one game, the first major punishment in a while so my question is this. No.13, No.14 and No.16 to Keep or Not Keep?
I have splashed out and bought my final Witch Elf so I have 11 players in the next game which is against Ogre’s. Plus about 200gc so I know I should get another RR (I only have three right now) but my TV is already 200 – 300k above anyone else in the league.

ditch the assassin he is now a liability (unless you feel confident that you can stall to allow him to hunt snotlings - see below)
keep the Blitzers until you have developed linemen to cover the gaps
save the cash, you shouldn't need more than 3 rerolls against Ogres,
you just need to focus on snotling killing for the first half and then rely on the boneheads to allow gaps in the line during the second for you to score 2-3 TD's
