Dark Elf league team progression diary

Post by DaImp »

I thought I would share with you my team diary for the current season of Da Leeg. I am playing a brand new Dark Elf team - the Blackspine Manticores. Most teams in the league are brand new with only 1 team being carried over from a previous season (forced to cull their team to a 1 100 000 team value).

Full list of teams in the league are:
Dark Elves
Vampires
Lizards x 2
Humans
High Elves
Chaos Dwarfs
Amazon
Norse
Dwarfs
Orcs

For the league structure: http://www.bloodbowl.co.za/daleeg.html

The diary is here: http://www.warhammergenerals.co.za/foru ... sc&start=0

Hey - You meanie! Leaving us without the final game report! :x

I'm playing Dealves as the moment - I really like them - you really have to think about your opponents and react to the situation. Which if you can do - its make them pretty strong.

Surprised you didn't get any Witch Elves? Was there any reason? - whats it like with 2 Assasains - I only went with 1 Ass and 1 runner. Playing in a much longer league so wanted all the armour I could get.

Shame about the +1 Ag guy, I've also got one with Dodge and he's just gaoined lead - Haven't had the chance to use him yet though.

Good Luck

well the final game is only on Wednesday so it hasn't been played yet :)

I decided against Witch Elves because of bad experiences with them in the past. I had intended to buy one or 2 during the season, but suffering 3 deaths has meant that I never had the funds to get them.

The assassins have been useful, more from a psychological point than causing any real damage. They have been responsible for 4 casualties so far. Certain players are very scared of them and they do provide a risk free block when in tackle zones so on the whole I think they have been worth while. I find the blitzers to be the most important players. My team only got going once I had all 4 of them on the list.

Defo – with the assassins. I had an Ogre coach refuse to use his blitz because a pushback would have left him near my Assassin! LOL.. That made my day. Just a quick point though – You know that stab Causalities don’t score SPP right? I also like to ‘mark’ the ball carrier with them – So funny when they go Dodge succeeds and you go shadowing! (Doubly great when they’ve used Break Tackle to get away!)
