Hey Geoff
Our league is pretty open. All team sheets are available on internet. He had access to my team sheet at any time and we always have a good butchers before the start. He knew he was my st 4 guy having targetted him the previous turn. He just forgot and I told him.
I must admit that at other times though I have not told opponents about skills, why for example should I remind everybody that tries to dodge away from my assasain that he has shadowing?
Or lets take another example, my player has 8 movement (happens to also be the +1st guy!) now a player received and he measure out from my player 9 squares (7 + 2GFI’s). He forgot my increased movement and therefore allowed me to blitz him. Should I have told him when he was counting out the squares? No way.
Grogmir.

We play with completely open Team Rosters. With newer or less experienced players it's considered good ettiquette to tell them what they're getting into, but the more experienced players should know the standard stats of a given player, or at least be willing to pick up the roster and read about the player before committing.
Of course, it's also considered dirty pool to not respond honestly and in full about one of your players when you're directly asked about them.
Some experienced coaches always volunteer any information that's relevant to a coaches decision (including counting squares etc) others will only give it when asked. In this case it depends on the two coaches playing, some coaches are a little more 'dirty' than others, so they get treated rougher by everyone else, there are some rivalries and some games that are very friendly. Such are people.
But the written rule is, if someone has less than twenty games under their belt (lifetime), you'd better give them all the relevant details to anything and tell them when they're making a decision without all the facts. Otherwise your team will be penalised.

Keep in mind that you can not always see what figure has what skills. My halflings have their numbers on the back, so if a coach can't see them, who could he know he's blitzing my STR 4 Mighty Blow Halfling?
Of course I let them take that move back.
Most funny thing happened in an email game. My opponent went, totally unopposed, the wrong way and scored in his own endzone! I thought it sporting enough to let him play that turn again!

It's up to the player taking his team's turn to inform himself with what is actually on the opponent's roster (skills, upgrades, etc) before it is too late. I usually do this by asking. Players playing against me in tournaments may have noticed that my memory lasts for about half a turn.

That long!!! I'm allready done after moving one model. That's why I have to tap them or I'll play the same fig 3 or 4 times!Odium Khan wrote:Players playing against me in tournaments may have noticed that my memory lasts for about half a turn.

And of course it is up to my opponent to see if I play fair or not, and if he has the same problem a game would last ages and they would all end 16-16!

I have no beard, I play the hard way
In fact, before every game I tell my opponent about every skill my players have, he can ask about any player on the field, he can look at my team roster and I remember my opponent about his Play Mark more often then I should ^^ It´s only fair to expect, that my opponent remembers, that I have two players with tackle and other important facts ^^

We're maybe too casual
I pointed out how someone could get a 3 dice block, followed up by a 2 dice if needed, against me.
We regularly have the 'Rigth, what's the best way for me to...' discussion
The rosters are open, the players numbered, and any questions answered without any messing around, and point out any problems....and offer suggestions on improvements....
Mind you at most we've had 6 games each in recent history - it'll probably reduce down to open and honest eventually.
And if you're not playing for fun...why are you playing?

My league is much less forgiving. Once a player has been moved to another square, his movement is locked to that square. If you fail to declare pass / handoff / blitz before moving, then it is assumed you are taking a move action. If you make a horrific dodge inadvertently, then you are required to make the roll as soon as you have moved the player. The league's rosters are readily available on our website and everyone skills are publicly available information. If asked about a player or his skills, you of course must be honest. However, you are not required to volunteer information.
We are usually somewhat lenient about this for newcomers, but far less so for longtime coaches. Having said that, your opponent could let you off with a warning.
The league rationalizes this information by stating, "Well, no one forced you to move the guy or not declare a blitz / handoff / whatever. You are responsible for your actions."
Part of the fun is paying attention. If you inadvertently dodge a troll into three tackle zones, then Nuffle becomes your judge. Roll a 6 or suffer the consequences of not paying attention.
