I think you're overestimating the value of the assassin; in most 1.1m tourney's he won't be as useful as a line elf imo. But yes, certainly max out the blitzers and witch elves. I might get 2 runners, and give one leader and the other sure hands. I know you're AG4 but sure hands is still worth it to me.

truer words have never been spoken. I lost 6-0 in a tourney final because my catcher just couldn't pick up the ball. I will NEVER neglect to give sure hands to my ball retriever again.wesleytj wrote: I know you're AG4 but sure hands is still worth it to me.

LOL, yeah I've had my fair share of pick-up pains, so sure hands is always high on my list. Strip ball protection seals the deal too!
Not overly keen on the assasin, but didn't think about leader before....
AARGH, all these choices is killing me! Oh well, whatever I choose I know it will be the wrong decision.

Brought the Assassin at my last tourney. All he did was make my opponent nervous. But nobody had every played very much against DEs in LRB5, so they were not sure what to expect.
They spent lots of time trying to blitz him, which was to my advantage. But Ì'm sure that once they realize that he is not that useful, they'll just start to ignore him, or block him if he is in their tackle zones. They'll stop blitzing him all the time.
I will not add him to my roster for my next tourney.
