Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!
HI. I am taking my goblins to the tritexbowl in manchester and am not sure what skills to give them (there are a lot on offer). The choices are:
Before the first game: A normally accessible skill may be given to two players on their team.
Before game 2 a normally accessible skill may be given to one player.
Before game 3 One player may receive a skill as if they received a doubles roll or Two players may be given a normally accessible skill.
Before game 4 a normally accessible skill may be given to two players.
Before game 5 One player may receive a skill as if they received a doubles roll or Two players may be given a normally accessible skill.
Before game 6 a normally accessible skill may be given to two player
A skill may NOT be given to a player that has already received a skill this tournament.
These skills carry over throughout the entire tournament and do not reset with the team after each game.
Drop the bomber and either pogo or chainsaw... with casualties you'll find yourself having to field all weapons at the most imopportune parts of short drives... this from personal experience....
Initially take Break Tackle on each of the two trolls to at least maximize their input.... Past that... whoooooo, boy! Side step... sure feet... and keep on dodging!!!!
Reason:''
LRB6/Icepelt Edition: Ah!, when Blood Bowl made sense....
"1 in 36, my Nuffled arse!"
Had Hail Mary on the bomber at the Waterbowl Weekender and he was the cause of 1 of my touchdowns. I was thinking about pass on the bomber and block on the ball and chain gobbo. As for the others, diving catch? sprint?
I'd second HMP on the Bomber and Grab on the Fanatic.
Give some thought to having a couple of Diving Tackle goblins.
With TTM they can make really tricky for an opponent during their drive, especially with a deep kick. Fling them and stand next to the ball carrier. The dodge is not a good option and then they're using their blitz to clear their lines rather than drive forward. With two they'll be even nastier.
Seeing as there will be so many skills and my goblins will be getting extra twatted later on in the tourney, what about this as an alternative line-up:
1 x Ripper
2 x Trolls
10 xGoblins
3 x Rerolls FF 3
3 trolls will give me a pretty solid front-line, but it does mean only 10 gobbos...
Np. I really think if you are going to play goblins then you really ought to take 2 or 3 Sws - I mean that's the point isn't it? Boring gobbos might be more effective but they aren't fun and you'll still lose more than you win.
