1000TV Ogre Team

Post by Dave »

For a tournament resurrection style

6 ogres
7 snots
2 FF or cheerleader / assistant coach

OR

5 Ogres
8 snots
2 RR

OR different from the above .. I don't really see other options apart from takeing the last roster and removing a RR in favour of more snots / FF / cheerleaders and the like.

Any other options I've missed?

Hi Dave,

I'd take the second roster - you'll need the 2 Rerolls badly :D  .

Good luck :D

At LBB LRB 4 TR 120 I maxed out the ogres to 8 with no RR's. It's a force to reckon with.

6 Ogres means you got the place covered for the most part. Of course, throwing 1's will allways damage your game.

RR's you could only use on snotlings. Or dare the risk of the Ogre Lonerdom. :-?

Go the hard way. Take 6 ogres. You won't regret it. (at least not with your dice! )

Ogres on the Ogre-Team don't have Loner so you can use Rerolls!

Well, let's think of this thing logically. With 6 ogres, you are bound to roll 1's once a turn on average. So basically you are playing with 5 Ogres a turn.

With 5 Ogres, you'll have 8 turns x 5 Bonehead rolls a half. That's 40 rolls. 6 goes into 40 6.5 times. Since you have 2 RR, if you reroll your boneheads, you'll have about 4.5 turns a half with a bonehead (assuming your rolls are successful). That's over half your turnes with 4 Ogres instead of 5.

So what's better? 8 turns with 5 useable ogres and 5 snots.....or half over half your turns with 4 useable Ogres and 6 snots and the other 3 or 4 turns with 5 useable Ogres and 6 snots?

I think I'd go with the 6 Ogres.

@datalorex
The important point about having Rerolls is avoiding Turnovers. You don't use them to reroll failed Bonehead rolls but to reroll failed blocks, pick-ups, hand-offs, TTMs, tec. The only time where I would reroll a failed Bonhead-roll would be when failure would mean not being able to score on your drive or conceding a touchdown.

Cheers
